Some guys at Laval University (here in Quebec, Canada) from a research group called DAMAS (Dialog, Automatic Learning and Multi AgentS) work on this:

Avid provide a good solution but it's not free software... It do all the real time stuff and more... I ordered the demo cd for my bro (who is filmmaker) and it seems to be a pretty good software. You will need probably some extra hardware and the price for avid xpress pro is ~1700$

They were suppose to get this working by satellite (remember... the large dishes)
1. Information for the games sent via satellite
2. Special adapters with on-board memory connect the Sega Genesis to the cable signal coming in
3. The user selects which game he/she wants to play, via on-screen programming and the D-pad controller
4. The game is then downloaded to the respective Sega Genesis machine. This takes less than a minute.
5. The user can then play the game for as long as he/she likes as long as the unit is turned on.
How to explain that every Congressional race in Maryland, for example, won by the same margin, of 818,181 votes? Funny how those numerals translated to HA HA HA in alpha characters.....www.countthevotecolorado.org
i hope this software will help prevent such things...(if it not cause it...)

They basically work on a simulator for collaborative driving and method to manage small groups of vehicles

at one moment of the game, you have to resolve this kind of problem in Black & White.
