ARM is almost alike with Microsoft (Market shares) and in a way, they are completely different. Being the fact that they do not try to put their competition into the ground. They're just another company trying to make their way in the business world.
Not only do they expose more 'horrid' bugs than beta tests, they also 'bait' people to buy the game when it comes out. They want to see the new levels, characters, and features the full version has to offer. I myself had been addicted to game demos and want to buy the full version ASAP.
And if there is a sequel, people have seen a trailer, played the demo, the just WANT to play the full version of the sequel or related game when it comes out. Why do you think the series of Age of Empires, Quake, and Doom did so well? When I heard Empire Earth was made by the lead programmer of Age of Empires (and I'm sure lots of people are like this as well)I wanted to buy the game because AOE was such a good game at the time.
I still dont like the idea of the next one not having a HD though.
You don't like it? Well look at Microsoft. They're already pissed at Linux for hacking into 'their' console with Xbox Linux http://xbox-linux.sourceforge.net/ . Because its a cheap powerful system. And Microsoft won't be making any money because usally the 'people' who do this don't buy any games. So Microsoft isn't making money at all. If they put a hard drive in the Xbox next, that would be plain stupid because the Xbox next will be more powerful than most PC's. Sooo the system will be about umm $750 Cdn at the very least. My computer upgrade was $650 Cdn for a system a fourth of the power!
Windows XP game advisor: If it isn't made by Microsoft, then it isn't a good game!
Boy this is good news. I am an avid Xbox fan but this is a little topsided:
The current Xbox has an eight-gigabyte hard disk drive. That drive is useful for online games and storing game art, but many developers chose not to make use of it. As a result, Microsoft seems to have decided that saving the $50 the hard drive costs outweighs its benefits.
If they want to save money, why don't they put in a 1.5 GB hard drive or something?!?! The hard drive is really handy so you don't have to hunt down memory cards for an hour and a half like I did with my N64. When I did heard the Xbox have an 8 GB hard drive, I thought that too much unless you like all the Xbox games. I personally like about 5 games; but to the point now. That was one of the big advantages the Xbox had over the PS2 or the Gamecube: It had a permantent memory. And how else would you beable to install Xbox Linux on it? I just think they should keep the hard drive but keep it down to about 1.5 GB or 2.0 GB.
Why I am saying this? Well lately I've been concerned with hard drive space because mine is an ancient 6 GB. Yes time to upgrade...

I think SCO shouldn't have even opened their mouths. When you think about it IBM has been in business for -what?- 200 hundred years? And they have gotten more powerful and powerful. So why would a middle sized company open their mouths againest a company who probably (and most likley) has a lot of experiance.
And why would M$ get involved? Maybe to pick up the pieces of SCO, but still. If IBM had a chance to get Microsoft, they would sue their ass off because nearly everbody hates M$.
Afterall IBM is a 12-ton spacebeast who kills you in one move, and Microsoft is a 400-pound gorlilla
. And SCO, ummmm, no comment.

Obviously the U.S. patent office doesn't care about patents. They're too busy learning how to spell "address".
