    You don't do anyone any favors by implying that your suggestions are trivial.

    I implied no such thing. If you can't see they're not trivial, you have bigger issues.

    I quit my job, moved across the country (without selling my old house), without a cushy job to fall into, just so I could spend more of my life with my family and less of it having to work to pay for that.

    So don't whine when you say you can't. You're just scared to.

    No.

    Change jobs.

    Change professions.

    Change homes.

    Change debt loads.

    I've done all of those over the last decade to get to where I can bike to work in 10 minutes, sleep 8+ hours, have dinner with my family, and run around with the kids. It can be done. But only if you value your life outside of work a little more.

    You're sounding more and more daft.

    The solar cycle is roughly a 12 year cycle. It doesn't correlate with the 100+ year increase in temperatures.

    You just heard someone say 'ice age' and assume it was true. It wasn't. It was just a small decrease in average temperature that someone extrapolated to 'ice age'.

    Solar activity is much better correlated with temperature on earth.

    Heck, if they'd just switch the subsidies from oil/gas to renewables, and still expect the same kickbacks, they'd help themselves and the rest of us.

    I was talking space inside the car cabin. The doors are 4-6" from my arms. The roof is 2" from my head.

    You'd have to make significantly thicker roofs to make a good crumple zone. Every car would have to look like it's wearing a top hat.

    You might want to measure how much of a crumple zone a roof might have. My car has about 2" before it's impacting my head. Sides have 4-6", and then it's impacting my arm.

    Or you could keep calling people names. Since you probably aren't old enough to drive a car.
