Actually, my 3.5 yr old son is in his mimicing stage right now.
However, he seems to realize that he shouldn't repeat some 'bad' words that we use. He has never mimiced any curse words that he has heard, yet can spew whole phrases about what I'm telling my wife to do:-)
Microsoft said pretty much the same thing once to prevent an IE vulnerability attack.
The issue is that it's not a vulnerability attack with Mozilla, just a misdirection of the user. Big difference.
Also, Microsoft actually said to TYPE in every website, not just avoid untrusted ones. There's a huge difference there. If you can't tell that, then turn off your computer and go fly kites for a living.
Mac OS X can very easily boot from a remote (via the network) server. It's called NetBoot. The entire boot drive image resides on the server, so you'd only need to put the OpenFirmware package on the XBox.
You just described NotDriving. In most smaller towns, a 10 mile radius would give access to virtually every hotspot. Just sit in your apartment in the middle of town. You don't need any locomotion anymore!
The fallacy in your argument is that Macs last longer than PCs. I'm sure there will be a few who will say "But I had my 386 for 12 years and it still runs Typing Tutor great!". However, most Mac users replace their computers every 4-5 years*. Most PC users replace theirs every 2-3 years*. Over a lifetime, I'd say owning a Mac is much cheaper.
There's still people involved, none of whom have full knowledge of these systems. This is the fundamental flaw in step 1.
And is what I really meant by YOU and ME.
Also, your steps assume only one hypothesis makes it to be the best. There can be, and often are, several hypotheses that explain all the KNOWN facts. Thus, you rarely end up with only one hypothesis for complex and relatively unknown systems such as the martian atmosphere and history.

Wow, I just flashed back to, what..., 1985? Huey Lewis era?
It's been 20 years. Let it go...or seek counseling!
Yeah....that's what he was saying.
Do pay attention.
I know this is Slashdot, but the fact that you had to write your own script should tell you that it'll never make it.
And no harder than iTunes?? You just put the iPod in your dock. End of steps. It does everything else for you. Copy, sync, calendar updated.
I'm thinking you've never really used an iPod before...

Airdriving??

I see even fatter computer geeks coming...
Actually, I think it was about 300 lbs ~ 135kg when only one person was flying the craft.
Stupid, haughty college chicks.

* Based on everyone I know.
YMMV
I see your point about the joint, but...
Murdering someone is a bogus charge?
Remind me to move away from you!
Didn't some cartoon character already have that?
Can you consider a cartoon character prior art?
The real problem is that this is relatively obvious to anyone who a) has a computer and/or b) has a computer.
Any communications gear would have to be located near the head, and the collar is an obvious one.
Thus, the patent should never be considered, much less granted.
Couldn't have been a very good football game...

I prefer 'updated options' myself.
Don't forget, Firefox leads to fewer security holes, fewer adware and fewer viruses. No reason to change that I can think of.
If it allows you to opt out using anying but IE, isn't it an opt out link? It's just that you're using a faulty browser.
Umm, the sun, while very bright, is not focused.

The simplest explanation to YOU is not necessarily the simplest explanation to ME.
See the abortion issue for a good history of two points of view on the same issue.
Only if silicon dioxide is more posionous or reactive to you.
what is involved in that..
Gravity?
That's not a limb you're going out on, it's a tree stump!
