...to all men? The Roman Catholic Church (tm) has only in recent times got round to the notion that the Earth goes round the sun. This is only several hundered years AFTER is was proved by various Astonomers, Physicists etc. Science 1, Religion 0. As for the whole "child rape" stuff, more is coming out pretty much every week. Religion, (esp. Roman Catholicism) better watch its' back if it is to be taken even slightly seriously in the Western world.

I think you got confused by all this talk of the strange, alien device (to most Americans, at least) called "a passport". The many times I've visited the USA, the attitude seems to be "Why would I want to visit any other country? The U S of A is the greatest country in the world & there's nowhere that's better than us *cue "stars & stripes forever" blaring in the background* " The only reason Americans travel en mass is to kill a countries citizens, often for the interests of its' corporations. Americans consider war to be exclusively an "road game". The one time other countries' citizens travelled to the USA to kill, you'd have thought the world had ended. Payback is such a bitch, isn't it?

As a Christian, I find that phrase offensive. :(

As an Atheist, I find religion offensive, especially the ones that would tie me to a stake & burn me, all the while extolling the virtues of doing "the Lords work". Funny how Atheists aren't often seen trying to "convert/enlighten/personally save from their chosen path" those of faith, isn't it? Keep your fairy tales to yourself, God botherer.

It wasn't a "him", it was a "her" that stabbed the Member of Parliament. She did it to be a martyr [sic] for islam. This idea was promoted by some American muslim cleric. It seems America can't control those who wish her harm, or wish to harm anyone else by proxy. I suspect this is the usual "political correctness gone mad". America - please sort yourself out - even if the terrorist wishing you harm holds a U.S. passport, they still are a terrorist, the trappings of religion make no difference. Can we compare & contrast the attitude towards this terrorist cleric to the attitude (who happens to reside in the USA) to the treatment the USA has meted out to Gary McKinnon? He's not stabbed anyone, or urged anyone to do the same, but it's not stopped the US security forces baying for his hide. The difference? He's not American.

Well except for CPUs. Every desktop CPU is designed in the US (both AMD and Intel are there) and a large number are made in US fabs.

Patriotism will never defeat reality. The Pentium M processor was the first design to emerge from Intel's Israel design centre. AMDs main chip foundry - Fab30 is in Dresden (Germany, NOT Ohio) Try again, sparky.

Assuming there was any problem at all, it could have been a mistake compounded by mass psychology and media attention. It sounds like it might be another 60 Minutes-Audi type hysteria, the Audi case was where people can swear they pressed the brakes but it turns out they really pressed the gas pedal.

Just as well American favour automatic gearboxes - think the trouble they'd get into if they had THREE pedals to deal with!
