I dunno what Robot Wars your watching, but the UK one is a really good show.

Well, acording to the TechTV website, it is the UK version, albeit somewhat old compared to what might be running in the UK now. (Not living in the UK and not being able to access the robotwars.co.uk webiste at the time of posting, I cannot verify this claim.)

But then again, being Canadian and watching it on Space, I have no idea how TechTV is handling it.

Alot of the stuff is repeat "jewelry" that just has a different color gem. The other thing is that I imagine all the "jewelry" will probably made from plastic.

Yeah, but it's a collectible game from WoTC. Does that mean the Ultra-Rares will be foiled?

They not only insist of placing standard warnings inside their instruction manuals, but every game they ship also comes with a small "precautions" booklet citing the exact same things!

What a good way to promote an environmental friendly attitude.

Does it only detect features on American currency?

No, I would guess not since the technology was developed by banks from all around North America and the European Union.

I would much prefer to bootleg money from a country that wouldn't hunt me down with a "Secret Service", if I were a criminal.

Which is why I guess that this technology was implemented in the first place. It is probably likely that there are a lot of countries that don't even have any up-to-date anti-counterfeit devices in their currency, such as the shinny image used on the Canadian $20 bill.

A simple high res scanner and Photoshop is all one needs to be a mean, lean counterfeiting machine in some third world country out there.

they are probably slicing the images into squares and using those as the chunks of data to compress.

Exactly, you can tell by looking carefully in the other pictures for those "mirror lines" or spots where a horizontal section of the image seems repeated or cut off.

It's like if you were cutting out a two page photo from a magazine, but the photo were on two seperate page leaves. You would have to cut both segments out and try to connect them again, but would probably never get a perfectly aligned fit between the two.

Well, yes for some cases, but if you're a highly competitive online RTS player, then using the keyboard is not just a bonus, it's a requirement.

The problem in using a mouse only in a serious player vs. player match is that in comparison with a mouse+keyboard is that you are losing valuable seconds moving your cursor from command button to command target. The keyboard user can just hit a hotkey and click on a target without moving the cursor off the battlefield.

People in Canada vote for a political party.

Not exactly. What Canadian people vote for in general elections are their riding's Member of Parliament to place in the House of Commons.

Now each MP candidate belongs to a political party (or run as an independent). Once all the MPs are elected, the party with the most seats in the house becomes the government, and it's leader becomes the Prime Minister.
