  1. It was bound to happen eventually. on Round-Up Ready Coca Plants · · Score: 2, Interesting

I saw this documentary a while back which said that species are constantly upgrading there defences/attack mechanisms against each other, through the process of natural selection and evolution.
No doubt there will be some plants that will become resistant to existing forms herbicides. Afterall, we are already starting to deal with the horrors of germs (bacteria etc) that have become resistant to antibiotics and other medicines. It's just a natural process.
On the plus side, it means scientists will always have jobs creating new cures and herbicides.

  2. Does the music sound the same? on Waterproof MP3 Player Uses Bone Conduction · · Score: 1

As this is done through bone conduction as opposed to traditional conduction, I wonder if they need to change the strengths of the different frequencies being pumped out by speakers? Does anyone know whether or not there could be a set of resonant frequencies with respect to the cheek bone?

  3. All Extremist Parties are Bad on Internet Censorship in Australia? · · Score: 1

    > Yep, they're religious zealots of the worst kind. The only parties worse than them are One Nation and the Citizen's Electoral Council. Actually, I am disagreement here. You only mentioned the right-wing extremists. The Australian Greens http://www.australiangreenswatch.com/ and the Women's Electoral Lobby are 2 examples of extremist left-wing parties. I reckon they are worse than the Family First. As far as I'm concerned any party that lives on the extremes of the political spectrum is at the very least loopy, and quite often dangerous.

  4. Re:Well... on Intel Predicts Death Of WWW · · Score: 1

Network administrators should have some responsibility on what is actually travelling through there network. Therefore, if I am an ISP, and I notice that some of my client's machines have become zombies, it should be my responsibility to kick them off the network or restrict there usage, until the problem is fixed. If I run a network through which several ISPs are connected, and it appears that the level of "bad" trafic coming from one of those ISPs has reached some kind of threshold, I should be obliged to restrict that ISP's usage until they have dealt with the problem. Responsibility should always be with the owner of the computer from which the rubbish is eminating from, but when that owner has not done something about it, the level of responsibility simply moves up the chain. All agreements between clients-to-ISPs as well as Network-to-Network should follow some kind of model like that.
