Not to worry. This will earn a 3rd-degree criminal idiocy conviction under the new laws I'm going to buy, so I can fill my new chain of privately-run-for-profit lunatic asylums. As it'll be my tame shrinks who decide who's fit to leave, no-one will ever get out. Problem solved.

Excellent response. Should probably be put on a big sign at all the border crossings. Maybe leave out the part about "White Castle". That was in bad taste.

Sounds like an eminently sensible system. Sadly it lacks a vital component for acceptance in the US. The potential for anyone to exploit it to become as wealthy as a Medici prince.

Of course. Sue them. Can't afford to? Tough. You'll have to wait for Elliot Spitzer to do it for you. No-one can be trusted to keep PII private, because secure working practices are always viewed as a nuisance & data security as an unwelcome expense. Until there are some massive class-action lawsuits, that won't change.

  9. An argument against conspiracy on US Releasing 9/11 Flight 77 Pentagon Crash Tape · · Score: 1

Nothing to do with basic honor or honesty. This administration has neither. Just that they'd be incapable of maintaining the cover-up. One of these loathsome & despicable creatures would be bound to leak/sell the story.

  10. "Ordinary" Windows users? on Can Ordinary PC Users Ditch Windows for Linux? · · Score: 1

Not a hope. Every "ordinary" PC user (def: don't know much & could care even less) should be on a Mac. Easier to use, safer, more reliable & longer-lived than a Windows box. Only committed tinkerers will ever be really happy with Linux.
