The fact the Patent Office previously granted patents for non-meritorious inventions is not surprising. Historically examiners have only been able to rely on publications in New Zealand for novelty of the application. The Patent Office did not consider the ground of inventive step in examination. However, this is the case for all forms of technology in New Zealand, not just software, under the existing Act.
The previous version of the Bill addressed these failings by introducing absolute novelty, examination for inventive step and no longer giving applicants the benefit of the doubt. It is not clear why the Committee put in an exclusion of software or why the Committee treated software differently to other forms of technology. This is in clear conflict with the review performed earlier in 2005.
The carbon "dating" is nothing of the sort. It is a match of C14/C12 ratios in the wine to ratios found in atmospheric samples, based on uptake and atmospheric composition, not on C14 decay.
A few years ago, Friday, October 14 was World Standards Day. Or, at least, it was World Standards Day in *some* countries. However, in America, the celebrations were held on October 11th. In Finland, World Standards Day was marked on October 13th. Italy planned a separate conference on standards for October 18th. - Shakib Otaqui
Think of this as nature's way of saying that there's too many humans. A good pandemic is just what we need.
If it does get out, what better way to ensure that the majority of survivors will have antibodies for this particular strain? We're not going to fall for it twice!
From http://www.usb.org/developers/usbfaq/#pow1 ---- 1. How much power does a system in S3 need to supply to USB?
A: 500mA per USB port. See section 7.2.3 for the details of device behavior during suspend and resume. ---- Presumably this has something to do with it. HTH. HAND.
Jade is the name of the next version of LINC, a crusty old mainframe language popular on Unisys mainframes. Common use of the word Jade to refer to their software rather considerably predates your project (and Java itself), I'm afraid.
Heh, "Ford FAP-Aid". That'll be popular...
An "offensive" of porn producers? Is that the collective noun?
