This seems like a good time to convince everyone to switch to jabber.
Write something nice about why msn is so bad and jabber is so much better and send it to your MSN-only-friends. It's just a matter of reaching the critical mass of switchers.

Working with something it uses perhaps 5-20%, but sometimes when it doesn't do anything except having an open document it uses up to 40% and making the system somewhat slower..
It's not always like that, but it do happen. Not what I would call a good product.
If you develop with IE it's very easy to (accidentally) trust IE. And if you trust IE instead of web standards you'll get a hell trying to get it working in any other browser.
If you (like me) develop in Firefox you'll just have to add some workarounds to get it working in IE.
I don't think it's an smart business attitude to lock out 10% of the users (customers) just because you'd like to use IE.
