    Yes, but biodiesel is refined. Your exhaust will not smell like grease. there's been a tonne of info in the past here, and there's a major distinct difference between greasel and biodiesel. Greasel smells like MacDonalds. Biodiesel smells like diesel.

    The problem with diesel and biodisel is that it has a particulate exhaust, which is detrimental to the environment. Particulate exhaust is a major contributor to greenhouse gasses. Biodiesel isn't a green solution like Hydrogen.

    I don't know if anyone's done the math yet (land needed to provide x amount of fuel), but I've heard it's a pretty limited yield. I don't think there's enough agricultural land to cover a global demand spike for Canola oil.

    'scuse me for a moment to interject, but Biodiesel != Greasel...

    Biodiesel is refined.

    AFAIK the only difference to an engine with biodiesel is that the timing needs to be adjusted differently, other than that most diesel engines are ready to go.

    Mark Hamill got typecast. I've watched documentaries on him. He tried to do some plays and stuff afterwards, and people kept yelling "Luke" out at him.

    Doesn't help anyeone's career to be typecast.

    Interesting that Harrison Ford made it - IMO he got luck and Indiana Jones really helped save his career.

    Technically, a year is how long it takes for the earth to revolve around the sun.

    A martian year is measured in terms of earth years.

    So technically, a year is a constant as the earth's rotation around the Sun.

    Micorosoft products like "Word" "Windows" etc. are pretty poorly named IMHO

    Sorry, but what about products like: Draw [Corel] , Write [OOo], & Notes [Lotus]?

    because Microsoft wants to avoid the expense of coming up with a real name

    Give me a break. It's just a name. They use something that sounds snzzy that might or might not have to do with the function of the application in question.

    Two barriers to that: 1) Where to put the waste. 2) No hope in hell I'm driving around with plutonium in my car :)

    Think of all the extra electricity you'll need to recharge all the electric cars out there. It's still scary...

    The US govt is heavily investing in alternative fuel research. I commend them, however at the same time refusing to sign Kyoto sends the world very mixed signals.

    Good to know - very interesting...

    I hope we win - we got burned on a lot of issues - Wheat, electricy, fresh water, and split run magazines. We had to dig our heels in on this one.

    It gets more interesting when you look at what we've been doing to southbound rivers and lakes that are split over the border... Pretty rotten stuff IMO.

    What about Softwood Lumber? Congress has an act right now in place where they will take the tarrif's illegally collected (per WTO and NAFTA) from Canadian lumber producers and are going to turn them over to the US Softwood Lumber businesses.

    Want to talk about unfair subsidy?

    All that, because we don't require our lumber producers to purchase land before they log it; we simply lease crown land to them for a low price, and we get to maintain control over such land.

    If you think for a second that games drive processor speeds, I'm afraid you don't know what you're talking about.

    It might have a part of it, but it isn't the sole driving force.

    Rendering farms, video editing, scientific applications, geoligical applications, and bioinformatics also play a very large role. As does the next killer app whatever it is.

    And there's just as much money selling a high end rendering farm as there is selling faster procs to school children.

    Otherwise, why would Intel bother to push the Xeon, and not shift their business to the consumer desktop market?

    This comment here shows you don't have a clue:

    BM, Motorola, Apple and SUN. They do not sell fast chips to businesses. Their primary sale are of the middle of the road chips.

    You've been in the industry too long. Move aside for people who know what they are talking about. That's a pretty bold absolute statement you've just made.

    I know some graphic designers who would beg to differ with you. And I also know some video editors who'd argue with you too.

    If businesses only needed middle of the road stuff, why not just abandon the xeon line all together?
