  1. GNO-WAY! on Is There A Market For A Voice Controlled MP3 Car Stereo? · · Score: 1

I can see it now. Any song where the singer utters the word "stop" kills the playlist.

    Feh.

The comment isn't intended to callus the reaction of this tragedy. The point is that we were asked to keep this person in our thoughts, instead of our prayers. You'll have to excuse me if I don't find this to be overly effective...

Keep Jason in your thoughts. Yeah, that'll help. We are all familiar with the power of thought...

Nice goal, horrible implementation. Try again.

  6. So what? on Utah About to Sign Library Filtering Law · · Score: 1
The first amendment doesn't promise you the ability to snag porn in a library. Its time to stop thinking like the brainless ACLU and start realizing that character matters. *GASP!* Did I say that?

Think that filtering isn't already going on? Think again. Every day there are librarians deciding what does and does not go on the shelves.

BTW, the people that have claimed that Mormonism is a cult, are absolutely correct.

  7. That sucks. on Furry Cow Cases · · Score: 1

You're missing the point completely. (Big surprise.) The point is, that if its not something that he would want his daughters to read, then its not something that he would want his daughters to download.

Ever heard of an 'R' rated movie? Same concept. And since you apparently aren't aware, you are required to be at least 18 to fulfill contractual obligation.

For future reference, please have the consideration to think before you post.

  10. THAT WAS THE DUMBEST ARTICLE I'VE EVER READ on Dying Babies and The Myth of American Freedom · · Score: 1

Since you apparently don't know who Peter Singer is, (a.k.a. Professor Death for those of you who actually pick up a newspaper) Peter Singer is a professor that claims that people should be allowed to end a child's life, if it is determined that that child's quality of life would not be good enough. Unbelieveable.

It gets better. Peter Singer believes that apes should be treated as people, and have all the same laws apply. So basically, he believe that people should be treated like animals, and animals should be treated like people.

This country already has a big enough problem with adults treating their pets as children and their children as pets. The last thing we need is a mentally unfit individual such as Peter Singer as a bio-ethics professor.

  11. Mark of the beast. on Barcode Tatoo as Permanent ID - Arrgh! · · Score: 1
This is so totally Biblical. Increased natural disasters, the mark of the beast, people going on killing rampages... Better look skyward, people.

Sounds like the book of Revelations to me...

  12. HAHAHA WHATEVER. on Earthlife 2.7 Billion Years Old · · Score: 1

Out of the entire article, it never mentioned what method they used to determine the age of the findings. One could assumed that they are using carbon-dating technology, which has in recent years been proven to be EXTREMELY flawed. This just goes to show that its easier to believe what someone tells you, then it is to do the work yourself. The media just eats this crap up, spews it out, and moves on. Sad. Very sad...

  13. ITS ABOUT TIME on Evolution is a Myth in Kansas · · Score: 1

Evolution itself is based upon completely unscientific principles. It is one of t he few facets of science that can only be proven by assuming the point you are trying to prove. The concept of evolution not only goes against the Bible, its also goes against biology, thermodynamics, and flat-out common sense. Its really sad that so many people here it associated with the word "science" and assume it must be true.

  14. THE SITE IS ALMOST AS LAME AS SOULHUNTRE on Watch Web's first "Open Company"? · · Score: 1

Its just a group of pay-per-click losers, attempting to justify their pathetic perversion with a quick dollar by designing a few stupid porno-sites. Sometimes I start wondering if we should have a screening process to keep morons like this off the net.

  15. Re:Intermail on Ask Slashdot: Building a Large Email Service · · Score: 1

Do not, I repeat do NOT use the Intermail software from software.com. We are a major ISP (approx. one million users) and we use their solution. To put it bluntly, it sucks. Its hardware intensive, and rather problematic.

I can't tell you what to use, but I can tell you what NOT to use. DO NOT USER INTERMAIL.
