  1. PC use is irresponsible. on Broadband Access Leading to Internet Breakdown? · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Let us not forget that one of the main reasons it is sow easy to spread vifuses and worms is beacause M$ Windoze makes it possible. If more people used system software based on unix or linux then things just woulden't have gotten to this point.

  2. Re:the time to distribute patches and fixes... on Broadband Access Leading to Internet Breakdown? · · Score: 2, Informative

patches and fixes are useless beacause they come around after something happens after its already to late to prevent it. Im willing to bet that a large portion of the code in M$ Windoze is thoes patches and fixes. No number of patches fixes or anything can fix Windows.

  3. Arguing is much more pleasant with IMs on Downsides to Intrafamily IM? · · Score: 1

I think interfamily instant messaging is great especially for arguing with loved ones or best friends. It involves no yelling and reduces the emotions involved. I often use instant messages to argue with someone in the same room! The other benifit to arguing over an instant mesaging is that the argument isn't about who can yell the loudest or make the nastiest face, what you have to say actually counts and the other person cannot just simply talk over you or finish your sentinces to include passive agressive things. I LOVE IT IT MAKES MY RELATIONSHIPS SO MUCH EASIER WHEN I DON"T HAVE TO HAVE AN ARGUMENT FACE TO FACE! I would much rather duke it out on an even playing field in cyberspace. And for all you women out there just log the chat for easy reference. You said that you don't love me, check the damn logs!

A flight without a laptop is boring. How are you gonna watch a dvd or play a game? Hell you can even surf over airphone dial-up (for exorbatant prices). i woiuld just miss the attention that a is attracted by using a nice new tibook 17 to watch fullscreen video.

  5. Just use the xray machine. on Security Tips for Traveling with Tech Gear · · Score: 1

Putting your computer through an xray will not damage it and will reduce the number of questions your are asked. I also reccomend using PGP DISK to store any sensitive information and putting the associated keys on a USB drive or cd. That way you cannot access the sensitive data without being in physical posession of your key and knowing the password.
