How come I have the impression that most people don't bother to read what Jon Katz has posted, but just go straight ahead to their numb-skulled "Shut up, Katz", "Katz is a loser", "Katz got it all wrong" routines? Are people here so biased in that everything Jon Katz says must be bullshit because Jon Katz wrote it and he can't use Linux cause he's too damn stupid and he's generally a loser that they must automatically prove time after time that they don't even care about what he writes, as long as it's Katz-bashing time? Makes me sick. If even half of you had bothered to actually read Jon's article you'd have noticed he's written quite an informative article, and I can't wait to read the entire story when it's finished. I just wish some people would get their heads out of their asses and read for once. OK, it's not Linux-relevant, if that's what you want, but nobody's forcing anybody here to read what Katz has to say. And not every article that doesn't mention Linux is a bad article (I've used Linux since 1994, and I would indeed be a sad person if all I ever read was about Linux). What are guns doing in the hands of "honest citizens" in the first place? Guns are a substitute for lack of brain. If somebody breaks into your house, call the cops. It's simple, you just pick up the phone and dial 9-1-1. Easy, isn't it? Make this world a safer place: Ban private ownership of guns NOW
If a company breaks the law, they should be prepared to be punished for it. It's that simple. That's what the Justice Department is there for, and they're doing a damn good job at it. Or do you think that Microsoft should go unharmed just because they're big? The only reason Microsoft has a bad reputation is because they release loq-quality software (all software that contains as many bugs and doesn't even work correctly with it's manufacturor's own OS is loq-quality, I'm sorry), provide customer service which is worse than poor and are slow with fixing their bugs.

Ummmm, most people I know who were hired to protect computers were hackers, or crackers, better... it's been my experience that people want hackers/crackers to protect their systems, because they don't think that non-hacker/crackers have the knowledge and the experience to protect a system from other hackers/crackers, or the common script-kiddie. So where does the DOJ get that nonsense from that people don't want hackers? I don't get it...
That's true, problem is, the Church and the Christian Coalition and their fundamentalist relatives don't love them... I doubt they ever understood the Bible...
From what we here in Europe have heard about the so-called Christian Coalition active in the States (demanding that Donald Duck only be shown wearing trousers - duh?), I wouldn't be surprised if they had come up with the idea for Jesux themselves... they do sound to me, like all fundamentalists (or rather, fascists?), to be more dangerous to society than Redmond-Willy or Saddam Hussein... Jesux was a joke, a rather good one, I thought, but the better joke was/. and ZDNet walking into that trap!
Even nice guys grow bitter after a while. Petro's been in this game for much longer than anyone else in his right mind would. Raises the question, is Petro just barking mad? I've scrapped my A 4000 for good now, I've waited for too long now for something productive to come from Amiga, I've had enough
