Do lawfirms have stock? I want to buy stock in SCO's legal representatives. They are certainly having a banner year. And then I want to sell that stock as soon as the last legal fee payment has been made by SCO. At that point, I expect they won't really have a great reputation in the legal community; so they won't be in much demand as lawyers after this case has been decided. I mean, who wants to hire a lawfirm that has a reputation for tying up the courts with a nonsense case, just to bill their client into bankruptcy?
And before you ask... no, I'm not an idiot. I just like piling absurd "what if's" onto our sometimes absurd reality.
I read here that SCO was seeking a 5 month trial delay. That makes sense to me. If my buddies and I were pulling down tons of cash, and salaried no less, by coming up with stupid ideas, like extorting money from big corporations, then I would want to keep drawing my salary as long as possible. Especially if our stupid extortion scheme was only pulling down about $11,000 every three months.
I think they are already using some type of anger emitters there. I'm normally a nice guy, but everytime I hear some @$$holes cellphone ring in the theater, I have this overwhelming urge to twist their head from their shoulders, and shove the phone in the newly-created bloody cavity.
Honestly, it's the anger emitters fault...
I do love my dusty BeBox too!!! I miss watching the dual LED towers pulse as it easily played multiple looping videos, played a music file, and the many other tricks that it did simultaneously.
I'm hoping to get yellowtab.com's Zeta installed on my SuperMicro X5DAE with dual XEON 2.2GHz soon.
Bush talks about training displaced workers, but I haven't heard anything about what their supposed to train in.
John Kerry also talks about that if he becomes President, he's going to create 10 million jobs for the 8 million people that are currently unemployed. I have some questions for Senator Kerry:
Who are these other 2 million people that you intend to create jobs for?
How much more in taxes will I have to pay to have the government creating jobs?
Is it really the government's responsibility to create jobs?

Wow, I like this idea, danknight! Make all congressmen and senators have this gadget installed on all of their current and new cars within 30 days after the President signs it into law. I guarantee that a rider like this would change the minds of those that would vote for such a law.
If they really wanted to stop folks from DUI'ing, then they should force those that have been convicted of a DUI to have this installed on all of their cars.... Hmmm... I wonder how many guys on Capitol Hill would get snared by that?;)
Honestly, to me it looks like a more generally acceptable version of a "Pump and dump" scheme, as opposed to what they are doing at SCO.
In classic Disney fashion, they are hyping something not even worth a moments notice. Chances are Comcast and Disney have settled on a price days ago. They are pretending like they aren't interested in the deal, and their stock price will go up. Comcast will raise their offer, and the Disney stock price will go up, but Disney will still be a shadow of the entertainment pioneer that it once was.
Disney used to be worth taking notice of. Their movies and cartoons were very entertaining, and have become the classics of our time, but lately Disney spends most of it's creative thought on merchandising, and "leveraging assets", a.k.a. half-assed sequels and remakes released straight to video.
This cracked me up... I followed a link for "About Sardonix" and I saw at the bottom if it's page this line:
Sardonix.org is a community resource. It is managed by the Immunix team at WireX , and funded by the CHATS program at DARPA.
I tried following the link to "CHATS" to see what it was all about, and I get a "page cannot be found" message. Not to sound too paranoid, but it's pretty sneaky to hide someting in plain sight.;^)
Do you think I'll get any Sardonix points for pointing out a dead link on their web-site?... I didn't think so either.

The real question is, "what's their IP address?"
"Of course my wife has always claimed I've got a big head...." That's not what she told me... ;^)

I agree with you. In fact, if they can get away with it, I think Linux Today should charge M$ more for displaying their advertisements.
