It seems that you are implying that the only way Bush can win is by cheating. If you go look around online, you will see polls leaning both ways. I couldn't agree more that polls are useless, the only one that matters is the one conducted on Tuesday. You can find research to support anything (look at this whole topic), but to make a statement that Bush winning indicates cheating on the GOP's side seems a bit ignorant. There is plenty of non-poll based research to support a win by Bush, as there is with Kerry. Polls are the media's way to make people involved in the election process. If you were really into politics you have been watching every poll and taking them with a grain of salt. You would have also been watching what the political science departments have said, what the economic sector has had to say, and numerous other non-polling sources. If you had done all that you might never had made such an ignorant statement.
So that was the GOP's response? I wonder who said that? It would seem to me if anybody really cared that he got on the ballot illegaly then somebody would have sued. Kinda like they are right now in AZ. The laws are there if it was a problem it could be taken to court and fought.
I have to agree with you. This whole Draft thing as been wildly pushed out of control. The first point about the checks and balances is a great example of people ignoring our political system. The president really can't do much without the approval of congress, yet everyone is very adamant at blaming Bush. As MBCook stated there is no support for the draft, it was shot down 402-2. Also the bill was supported by a D, and further more Bill Frist (Senate majority leader) said the senate will not address it, move on people there will be no draft.
True, house and senate are separate entities. So going by that it's really three layers of government legislation must pass threw. I have to give you props, you have contributed one of the few intelligent political responses. And i agree people must learn the system better than they do, for example how many Coloradans voted today??? How many people vote in primaries????

I've been working in politics for a while now and it's safe to say the President doesn't hold nearly as much power as everyone seems to think. The biggest movers and shakers reside within the federal senate, congress, and your state legislative representatives (if the senate holds a contrary majority to the President nothing will get done, etc.). Remember he can't do much unless the congress and senate approve it (you voted them into place too). So, in your effort to vote out bush, or keep him there, remember there are other elections on your ballot that you all should be watching!!
