I didn't see any statement that the receiver would
get the payment. As I understand the paper the sender
buys tickets from a ticket server which is trusted by
the receiver or the receiver's ISP. If the ticket is not
refunded then the provider running the ticket server
has earned money, not you (the receiver).
...judging by the pictures you have to apply with a
spectacular grin on your face.
As to the "invitation only" access, I think it's not different
from giving a party and saying "bring some people along",
except at the same time you make a campaign telling
other people how much they are missing.
So I'm not
against "invitation only" but I think the website somehow
defeats the purpose (or the purpose escapes me).
BTW I made a telling typo. Surfed to www.orkus.com, "Orkus" being the old Roman land of the dead (German spelling).
I think they only make rude people more rude. Decent people apologize when they get a call and either don't answer it or keep it as short as possible. It's not different from being interrupted by a physically present person.
I don't know when there was the time, that you
could expect to get a person's undivided attention
must have been a great time, though.:)
BTW Here in Europe people seem to be quite emotionally
attached to their cell phones. Children seem to get one
before they even learn the numbers.
