  1. apache? on Biggest Public-key Crypto Crack Ever · · Score: 1

Does apache really need the money? It's not like their project really needs help. Wouldn't the money be better spent on 1 or 2 smaller projects that could actually use an extra development machine or some hardware?

  2. Re:FF Soap? on Final Fantasy IX Pics And Info · · Score: 1

Unless you're extremely strong at that part of the game, you DON'T kill Edge's parents. And you are never actually forced to attack them. All you have to do is defend yourself and when the dialog runs out, they'll come to their senses and kill themselves. (if I ruined some plot for someone playing the game right now, too bad. you shoulda been playing a few years ago)

  3. Jon Katz is a pompous ass on Oscar and Interactivity · · Score: 1

You seem to forget that jon katz is a hypocritical, uninformed, bitch-for-hire writing for slashdot to bring in audience. He doesn't give half a rat's ass about anything he drivels about. His articles rarely have any content at all. Just buzz words about the new wave of communication through the internet. Yea. Tell that to the 78% of the world population without internet access. Tell them about how the communications revolution is going to usher in the new wave of democracy. Or whichever phrase happens to bring in hits this week.

Jon Katz has no journalistic integrity. He's out to make a buck. EVERY Jon Katz article is a rehash of the previous one.

eek! Now someone is going to moderate me down cuz I screwed up the link on part 1! I'm sorry and I'll never do it again. I promise.

  6. browse at threshold=-1 on Update on Jason Haas Car Accident · · Score: 1

Sure you'll avoid a lot of trolls, but there is a damn lot of biting truth in what some trolls say. Threshold=1 gives you a watered down "me too" slashdot. 0 gives you a much better outlook. -1 gives you a good number of laughs and a chance to see a few of the trolls are actually really talented at what they do. I mean.. who could honestly say that the columbine brats/jon katz murder/molestation stories are crap? There's some quality writing in them stories. If you haven't already, I suggest you read them all. For your reading convenience, here are the links: Part 1, part 2, and the final chapter... part 3.

She won because she's female. She didn't do anything new or exciting. She took existing technology and just put it together. She didn't innovate at all. The second place kid deserves it more than she does. I hate it when girls get things just to stimulate female interest in technology. If women aren't as good at it, then so be it. They shouldn't win if they aren't as good as the males.
