    I live in a basement (shocker, it's my mother's). The floor, in the winter, is fucking cold. I've got the heat on 70 and a portable heater on high, and the floor is still freezing freaking cold. This is with carpeting, insulation, and socks. Even in the summer the floor down here is cold.

    Saying he needs to go down 10+ feet is just silly.

    From what I've read, the missing guy has had almost nothing to do with the project for quite some time. Missing meetings and not doing much, if any, work. It sounds like his going AWOL was the straw that broke the camel's back for the other devs.

    Yeah, I'm running RTM 7600 and I've been playing a lot of games that haven't been patched since 2005 and they all run just as well as they did in XP/Vista.

    I had a subscription to Lost and Law and Order through iTunes. It took 3 hours to download each new episode, and they'd occasionally not be posted in iTunes for a few days. Downloading them through a torrent got me the show within an hour of when it aired and it took less than 15 minutes to download it. AND it was free.

    As soon as you can hook me up with a link confirming the bullshit you're spewing across my screen, I'll believe you. In my experience, my frame rate has gone up by 20-40 depending on the game. GTAIV has a 25fps increase.

    The difference is that people are excited for 7, something that did not happen with Vista. It took almost 2 years for most techies to admit Vista was ready for the desktop. Win7, on the other hand, is on a LOT of techy desktops already.
