Us Windows users have been paying $99 for point releases for years just to make sure that when our original OS gets dropped we still get security patches.
It would be hilarious if someone who travelled the entire country doing their job had every state that has an income tax trying to tax 100% of their income. Imagine 20+ states taxing 5% of your income with the feds wanting 25% of their own. Owing 135% of my income would be enough to make me stop working.
Um no, that would be supremely stupid. Sony could probably have all of it's products banned from import into the US for doing something as dumb as ignoring a court order. Not to mention the potentially massive fines on top of the original reward which they'd probably have to pay regardless off the final outcome in court and to get their products back into the US.
Projectile motion tells me that to fire a projectile in a near straight line over any meaningful distance, the velocity must be very high. What kind of projectile do you think can travel at the speed of a bullet and NOT be lethal? If a gun is manufactured for the purpose of protection or hunting and it's used in a crime, how is that any different than a knife being used in a crime or someone running their husband over in their car?
We get attacked by terrorists because we support Israel and interfere with the Middle East. I don't think Osama gives a rat's ass that we bash Frenchies.
If a program is crashing due to a buffer overflow and someone can get data into the buffer, it may be exploitable. If certain data crashes Mozilla or OpenOffice.org, specially crafted data could exploit the crash bug to inject executable code unless the crash is due to a NULL pointer.
So Linux is all about taking control away from me? Isn't the computer mine? Why should I run software that is going to make things hard and deny me freedom?
I could tell that Slashdotters were posting half way down the page when the comments turned into "OMGF OSS" and "But in the anti-trust case..." bullshit repeated over and over again.
So what you're saying is that if a private citizen buries a suitcase full of crack cocaine in my back yard and goes and tells the cops, I should be tried and convicted for it even if I show that I never put the case there and that someone else did?
I don't understand how people sit them on their privates to begin with. I find it hard to type on a notebook while sitting up when the notebook is too close to my body. The back is almost on my kneecaps and the front doesn't come close to my privates. Maybe it's just because I have long legs...
Spamming? Wasn't he just hosting articles? Does Google now dictate the content of other people's webservers as a condition of their being indexed?
Until Google says: "WordPress is the devil, use OUR service or don't get indexed!"
There's administration involved with Windows? I've never seen such a beast. It's not like it's rocket science.
You WAITED so you could save time?

and yet they did have weapons they were not allowed to have under the UN resolution. Yep, not impotent.
Except if even one of the most powerful of the Big Five refused to abide by it, it would be completely ineffective?
The Soviet representative was boycotting the security council at the time.
Can Windows itself produce works that you can make a ton of money off of?

Like the concept of a physical device?

Heaven forbid that a view other than your own crop up.

Subscription fire departments used to be a reality actually.
Any price is overpriced for someone who wants to pay nothing.
It's probably a copy and paste that he spews on every music related story because I saw the exact story on /. a LONG time ago.

As opposed to the systray or some other part of the OS flipping through the frames itself?
IE wasn't much better till they integrated it into Win98 and were gearing up to stick it into the WinNT line and HAD to stabilize it.
