Except GIMP. GIMP is by far the easiest tool to use in its genre of software. It is amazing how many people left Photoshop in droves with this last release that gave us the advanced technology of the single window interface.
While the fact is wrong, the attribution wasn't... Hovertank, Wolfenstein 3d, and DOOM were all John Carmack/John Romero games. It isn't like they are giving the wrong person credit.
Hardly. We all know what happens when we approach C. The universe around us will be burning away. And you still have buttloads of light years to find an "usable" planet (regardless the lifeform).
Keep in mind the old argument that galactic colonization is an exponential process, as each colony sends out a ship, the expansion rate grows. Even with each colony sending out ships at a fairly low constant rate, say every 500 years, it only takes a few million years to colonize the whole galaxy. Yet this clearly has not happened...
As fun as it is to fantasize about getting around it, it may be entirely possible that interstellar space travel is limited by the "speed of light". Perhaps no matter how much you can do, you can't beat that constant
Yea, this PHP bashing here gets really old. Sure, the fact that it's a high level language attracts some clueless programmers that write bad code, but that's not the languages fault.
If they can tell I would like to buy NES cartridges at discount prices, I'll be content if they can figure it out and try to sell me that vs Siding for a house when I live in an apartment.
Also, you would spend $200 more on your ivy bridge board/cpu + you still need to buy ram. If your 5fps is worth that much money, my heart goes out to your family
Try even a low end AMD APU platform. I got a board, "APU", 4GB of ram, for $120 at tigerdirect. I can play Portal 2 at fantastic settings with smooth play, and just about every other game I throw at it

Get married and call me back
Like Canada?
Sounds a lot like socialism to me
It is. Why is that bad? Democracy and Capitalism has failed us. Do you have something better?
I find it funny that you get marked insightful when recommending this, but there was a decade where people cried foul when Microsoft did it with IE.
Which linux? RedHat, Debian, Gentoo, Mandrake/Mandriva (ok, maybe the last one doesn't really matter)?

It doesn't work that way. They put your transaction through a "hold" before posting it, and you can not put a hold on a prepaid card.

My great great great grandfather See Kompileriski has a UID of -ffast-math
Good math, nothing! He is missing a step or two, and some fiery dust, between lines two and three

VB6 wants its argument back
All languages have security flaws and need constant patches.
QBasic doesn't
PHP5 was released in 2004. I was using VB/ASP (I'm assuming VB6/ASP classic?) in 1998. There is perspective you are deliberately leaving out.
It's because insurance rates for airports and airlines would go through the roof if we didn't have this in place
How did they deal with the cost before all of it?
You mean BitCoin mining don't you? That is the only thing you can consider "faster" with OpenCL, while actually using it for a real purpose.
duct tape

Fair enough. All I see other than pretty graphs is everyone saying ivy bridge is comparable in performance to sandy bridge.
You are wrong. A fast google brought up this bit (though sandy bridge, same idea) -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqBk0uHrxII

Interfaces would be an inherited class definition with simply no code. Sorry to ruin your joke
