    what a load of trash.

debian is not in a decline, they just need to slow the package release cycle, the greater number of times packages are released during a month increases the amount of checking required.

The whole point of stable/testing/unstable is so that the packages filter to stable slowly.

I think xfs might have some abilities, but generally i think a root encrypted system is a bad idea, just mounting your important stuff manually in /home or /usr is good enough. sensitive material should not be automounted, so its a half descent solution to have the disk mounted in user space.

No I think their biggest problem is how to enable the large hosting companies to manage sites. I have put together script to add sites and stuff to boxes whcih can be called from database triggers. I do not see how this is even thinkabout with IIS 4/5/6/7.

Until some operating system problems are addressed the IIS platform will not be scalable or useable by large companies who wish not to spend hours clicking and icon scraping.

Why windows requires a graphics card is beyond me, to an extend OpenBSD can be installed and configured over a serial port, without the requirement of any graphics card beyond what the BIOS will allow the system to boot with. Longhorn is likely to become "long list of requirements". A UI that //requires// highend graphics is likely to be a bad UI.
