has a small motor that powers the movement, that's fine.
has an analog timing ciruit, thats fine.
a digital timing circuit, then, uh, its just an analog face.
Are most crystal based timing circuits in watches analog? [just realising potential falseness of original statement... Crystals are not exactly a digital only kinda IC]
One academic study found that 90 percent of the content exchanged on file-sharing networks is copyrighted, Frackman noted.
This reminds me of a problem from my Micro theory class:
In a discussion of tuition rates, a university official argues that demand for education is completely price inelastic. As evidense... tuition has doubled over the past 15 years, but applications have remained the same [quality&quantity]
Now the question really wanted you to realise that you can change the supply and demand curves to get the same results, but nevermind that.
In both examples we are comparing a measurement that doesn't have the relationship it at first seems to.
They, in fact, have the same rather different relationship.

They are the upper bounds of the equations, but nothing 'deeper' than that.
Sorry, I forget the;) after my 6' comment. It was meant tounge in cheek.
See in industry, IMNSHO, 6 sig is essentially crap. I was poking fun at 'only' 3 sigma mentality, while trying to help people 'visualize' [in a less abstract way] what was being discussed. Just like when xSP's offer 99.99% uptime.["But Crapspace's SLA is only 99.95!", etc.]
'Aaa, sodesne!,
I stand corrected
I hadn't ever made the mental leap[ok shuffle forward] to what you posted above. I guess it shouldn't be shocking that PHB buzzspeak can actually be meaningful elsewhere.
Now if 'social scientists' would only adopt those same standards...
In the spirit of an explosively flatulent clydesdale, and 'stupid voiceover's:
Doesn't "scram" also have some association with, oh I don't know, a rapid emergency shutdown? [to keep an accident from causing colateral damage?]
Maybe they should stick to calling it a hypersonic ramjet....

The Mars and Rolex "Perpetual Motion" watches are analog watches.
Most people here are discussing digital watches with analog faces. IANAWS, but on the inside is the same quartz crystal based timing system....
I also submit that if you buy a true analog watch, you do so for reasons beyond simply wanting to know what time it is, where you are, at a glance.See in industry, IMNSHO, 6 sig is essentially crap. Man you theorists have it easy! Imagine if you guys had to hit six sigma like the working world!
FYI To the lucky ones to have never had to deal with stats or TQM:
3 "Sigma" is ~70,000 screwups in 1,000,000 opportunities to screwup
6 "Sigma" is ~3.5 screwups per 1,000,000 opportunities to screwup.
Next week "Epsillon and Mu - It's all greek to me"
I think we really need to focus on stuff down here on the earth (like those WMD's) before we send anyone out into space.
So, basically, you're just against human space exploration?
Well you CAN sterilize humans, but it's really not very polite.
I really wouldn't worry about it, you could always sue him...
