This is an outrage! This is something I would never accept! Place an antenna on my hand so they can monitor me? What will be next? You need one to buy stuff and withdraw money from your bank account? Before we know it it will be illegal for persons above the age of 10 to be without. It will all be conveniently hidden under "This will make it alot easier". The mark of the beast I say! Revelation 19:20 - And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And Im not even a christian!

I wonder why so many non-gentoo user goes out of their way to flame gentoo because you have to compile everything from source. If you dont like it, dont use it. I like it, I use it. This is almost like Linux VS BSD :(

Argh! As you Americans demand not to be held responsible for your forefathers keeping slaves, and as todays Germans can in no way be held accountable to Hitlers actions, as should todays Americans sit down and shut the fuck up about Hitler. You did nok keep slaves, therefore you shall not be responsible for it, you did not save uss from Hitler, therefore you can not claim respect and honor for that.

    Is that so bad?

Id be apt to belive that running a nation based on the oposite of every action Bush takes would make a peacfull and harmonic nation of responsible people whos promary goal is not to make as much money as possible so they can eat as much junk food as possible.

Yes. Europeans did those things. Centuries ago. We Europeans realised that forcing our way of life on other people is not good while you Americans where still cracking the whip on the backs of the slaves that build your nation for you!

    Yeah. Go Intel!

I am aware that AMD did some reverse engineering themselves, but to claim that Intel does the research and inovation and that AMD is just a compycat is silly.

I dont like Intel because they charge a bucket for their CPU's and yet they dont perform better than AMD. Quite the oposite acutaly. Except the mobile models. Now, lets give AMD a chanse to proove that they can do mobile processors also.

Stick to Debian and NetBSD. It has been pointed out over and over again that if you dont want to compile your pacakages from source, then Gentoo is not for you. There is no need to bash Gentoo and call it an unserious distribution just because it doesnt suit your taste.

Yes, it takes a long time to install (compared to Mandrake and Fedora), yes "emerge kde" is slow as hell, but nobody is forcing you to use Gentoo.

  9. Gah on AmigaOS 4.0 Developer Pre-release · · Score: 1

As many people hav already posted! For gods sake! Die! I loved the Amiga, I still have my old A4000 somewhere, but its been many years since I realised that Amiga is long dead. Maybe AmigaOS would stand a chanse if they made it Open source and gave it away/sold it cheap, possibly also if they made it run on x86, (or does it?) but who on earth will pay the rather stiff price for an AmigaOne motherboard these days? Other than extreme Amiga fanatics.. Stop beating this dead horse!!
