  1. watch out! on Breaking Gender Cliques at Work? · · Score: 1

you never talk to the opposite gender at work! you need to treat them like they have some sort of disease and stay as far away from them as possible or you'll get hit with a sexual harassment suit! oh crap.. if you do that you might get hit with a discrimination suit! hmmm.. have to talk to them or its discrimination, cant talk to them or its sexual harassment.. cant talk, must talk, cant talk, must talk......

the only way to win is not to work at all.

  2. haha on Teens Losing Interest In Gaming? · · Score: 0, Troll

1235 students in a nationwide survey of students who volunteered their time to take it.. that is just silly. Those numbers cant be taken seriously as theres no way that survey could show with any precision the point of view of american youth. Maybe if they even tried to break 10,000.. but 1235 out of the millions of teenagers in america, no telling how they were picked to take the survey or how things were worded.. Ive seen better numbers from college student surveys for class projects.

  3. The ultimate portable device is selling well!! on Why Have PDAs Failed In The iPod Era? · · Score: 1

ok, well here it is, you want a portable device that can play every form of media as your PC, allows you to do anything that your pc can do? the most easy to use portable device, able to use every wireless network including cisco leap networks and such? great viewable screen with ports to connect it to every other portable device from every brand name plus the functionality to hook it to a tv and speakers and use it to watch movies? the ability to run every single application that you have for your PC on it? well in america, our space limitations are few and far between.. so in america just get a laptop.. its the best portable device for all the above reasons.. even if you live in japan they make super small laptops that you can use.. why own a PDA? the prices for PDAs are getting up there and the prices on laptops are falling.. a laptop can do EVERYTHING any pda in the world can do.

The only PDA that seems to be making alot of hype are blackberries and Danger Inc.'s hiptop/sidekick. I think the future of PDAs are going to be moble messenger devices with cellphone functionality, and desktops are going to be fading out.. maybe not in the near future.. but laptops are really getting better and better.. as more companies give upgrade incentives on laptops.. i can see docking stations coming back into modern use.. IMHO the only reason desktops are still in use is because of PC gaming and the need to upgrade your video card every 6 months.. but as video gaming has been slowly but surely losing its hold on the PC market and migrating entirely to console systems.. i dont see why everyone isnt going to own a laptop as their desktop PC over the next 15-20 years. As that happens i believe the tiny laptops will be viewed as more of a PDA of sorts.. and the big screen multimedia laptops are going to start getting better.. they'll get good quality speakers and crisper plasma screens.. they'll become HD multimedia devices.. i could even see people having 2 docking stations for their laptop.. one on their entertainment center and one on their desk.

just think about these things and tell me what you think.. doesnt it seem sensable?

    Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith,

We regret to inform you that a year ago your daughter was arrested, tried for murder and was executed after being found guilty. You were not informed of this because it was kept confidential until this week. We promise you that your daughter had the best public defender available. Your daughter was thereafter taken and burried in a memorial graveyard in washington erected for famous political activists.

if you look at 3d animation today, look at movies like blade 2, the matrix revolations, spiderman, starwars 1-2-3.. they give perfect examples of how we can make believable characters with 3d animation.. all video games are are 3d movies rendered in real time. so in truth, once we have computers that can render starwars epidode 1/2/3 in realtime.. we'll have believable 3d characters.. so nvidia and intel gotta get off their butts and do it :)

  7. wrong on Creativity, a Problem for the Gaming Industry? · · Score: 1

i doubt anyone is going to read this since its so far down in the tree.. but if you look back at the original commercial video game industry (back when alot of the money was being made) we were making up to 10 sequals to a game.. look at sierra, who was a big name back in the day.. they started making LESS money when they started becoming more creative and stopped producing sequals to their kings quest, police quest and space quest series :) The fact is, sequals in the video game industry really arent playing off of original popularity.. take GTA for example.. GTA1 was fun for a bunch of PC players.. GTA2 SUCKED, GTA3 had to have a few months for people to catch on to how good it was before people started buying it. I believe that video game sequals are more "Second Tries" than someone playing off of old popularity.

  10. laws on An Ignition Interlock In Every Car? · · Score: 5, Insightful

it seems if they are going to do something like that, they need to get rid of the laws that can get you a DUI for just sitting in a parked car drunk.. there are so many laws that need fixed all over the country.. i think the federal government needs to force counties and states to do a lawbook housecleaning some year. Then just have a 4 page ballot one year and be done with it all.

  11. monies on Cybercafes - A Dying Trend? · · Score: 1

The problem with running an internet cafe is that I dont believe that anyone actually makes money with the cafe itself. Ive known a few people now that have run cyber cafes.. and all of them used the cafe as a place to do computer tech work, where most of their money came from. all of which found that it was more money to drop the cafe guise once they get the computer tech business up and running. The problem with running cybercafes is that you have to do high volume to get cheap prices from food distributors.. Most cafes have a very small customer base. If i were to give advice in starting a cybercafe.. i would say u should open a franchise resturant or coffee shop and put computers into it.
