One of the suspects was wearing his hat backwards in the video. Now really if you are wearing a hat to hide your face from security cams that is about as dumb a thing as you can do.

Maybe he has a very distincitve scar on the back of his head/neck.

See, I can do internet crime-sleuthing with no real evidence too.

  2. Re:yin yang on FBI Releases Boston Bombing Suspect Images/Videos · · Score: 1

Not sure if it helps with the case but I noticed these two are going for a "yin yang" theme. One has a white hat, the other has a black. One wears it backwards the other forwards. One is wearing tan, the other black pants. The black hat has white on it which must represent the white dot in the black yang, and the man with the white hat has a black emblem on the white yin. Yin-yang implies they are complementary, not opposing forces. And, it shows that they probably believe that they had to commit this atrocity to transform society. A shadow cannot exist without light. There was probably some meaning in the fact that they placed two bombs that were built differently as well. You might want to ask school teachers / students / parents about anyone who had a predilection for yin-yang and opposing concepts, maybe they liked drawing the symbols in notebooks. Also, this pattern is bound to show up frequently as more details about the case come out. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of duality and philosophy being applied here.

In that case shouldn't one of them have been male and the other female, since that is the primary meaning of yin and yang?

Sorry to shit in your cornflakes.

Compare CSI with one of the reality cop shows. IRL the cops spend hours planning a drug raid, they burst into the house and find a bunch of students with 2 rocks of crack and a few crumbs of cannabis and proclaim it a major triumph in the war on drugs. Or someone has a fight outside a pub and gets taken to hospital with a minor head wound, then gets to sleep off the drink in the police cells overnight. A teenager gets stopped for doing 36 in a 30 mph limit and the cops act like they're a serial killer.

It doesn't really make for great drama.

Yes, but please for the love of $deity don't let them program search databases. I cringe every time when they do a fingerprint or photo match on CSI. Instead of looking for the file, it painstakingly takes every picture from the database, displays it, finds out that it doesn't match... rinse repeat.

I hate to break it to you, but CSI is not a gritty documentary series. It's...how can I put this? Well, it's ALL MADE UP. That's right, they're showing a load of lies, all in the name of "entertainment". Bastards.

A person should not be judged on where they came from, grew up, race, etc. Their own merits speak all on their own. Look at that.

Nonsense. It is a simple fact that most people born poor stay poor. It's not a question of judging them, just looking at the statistical probabilities.

The fact that you as an individual are no longer poor says absolutely nothing about whether most people born poor stay that way. Any real world situation has outliers.

It is pure rightwing elitist-individualistic garbage to say that anyone can make anything of themselves, and that therefore we shouldn't worry about poverty, racism or anything else because if you're strong enough you'll rise above your beginnings.
