Ive got a friend that still takes notes on his 200. 14 + hours on 4 AA batteries, great text entry, light weight, and hack the serial connection and you can transfer stuff. sounds like the perfect solution to me.
You dont need any special "tools" persay, all you have to do is open Opera, go to the page you want to "attack" right click hit "reload every...." and select 5 seconds, or less if you prefer.
Someone donated about a hundred computers to my high school about 2 years ago. They work fine for the most part, however I was told that all but 2 had to have new power supplies put in them becuase they came from a bad batch at the factory. I was replacing a hard drive in one of them. turned it on, everything was fine, then when it hit the windows boot screen, a huge spark came from the power supply which ignited a large clump of dust which in turn produced a large flame, which took off my eyebrows. All but 1 of those computers had a bad power supply.
I totally agree with everything this guy has said. I had a 56k up untill a few months ago, then I got DSL, I wasnt very good at the whole online gaming thing, so I got Medal of Honor Allied Assault and that was a good starter, then I went to Battlefield 1942, and now with Punkbuster support, its everything a geek could dream of.
What, no sea bass with lasers ?
