I personally work under the umbrella of a huge Media conglomerate(wont name it of course). Me and my boss regularly share screeners we get with each other. Either through our own companies means or via the internet. It is a hipocrasy if you look at the mutilation of copyright law over the past two decades.
Would they seriously sue Micheal phelps and revoke his 4 medals just for talking about how awesome it felt to win four medals on his website? I highly doubt it.
Of this horrible 5! minute PSA done in the early 90's It had some kids playinga computer game on a apple II. One of them had to go home but he wanted to play it later. SO he popped in a disc and said he was going to copy it. Then a guy who looked like a mix of MC gammer and the host of Nick Arcade appearred on the screen. He did literally a 4 minute "rap" about copyright infringement and how it affects the software companies. It was intermixed with horribly out of place statements from programmers and game developers.
It was a device calle dthe CAT. You could get one free from radio shack. It would connect between your keyboard and computer. And you could scan Generic UPC barcodes to get to the corresponding site. I tried it and it usually worked. Unfortunatly I couldn't find a viable use for the device.
He also threw in 4 stations which were formerly on higher package deals. Boomerang(a 24 cartoon network of classic toons), WAM another offshoot of encore Fellowship of the ring was on tonight. toon disney and FUSE. Unfortunatly for me I already had toon disney and FUSE on my line-up. But people on the cheapest bracket may have lucked out a bit.
