Bad acting. Poor plots. Bad writing. A theme tune so excruciating that I want to vomit every time I hear it. And you're worried about "violating canon"? Good point. However, I've only watched one and a half episodes of Enterprise. Ever. I quit watching the show because of the reasons you stated. I have been (begrudgingly) informed of it's continued storyline development by a rabid fan of the series. I don't know how he can stomach it, to me it's like watching someone eat raw sewage.

This series jumped the shark on the pilot episode. The rancid violation of Star Trek canon rampant through this series (i.e.: Romulan Cloaking Devices, The Borg, physical appearance of the Klingons) have completely killed this series, because nothing makes sense anymore. I refuse to watch it, I wish it would get cancelled, and I don't know if I'll ever watch anything having to do with Star Trek again while it's in the hands of CBS. The whole franchise has been going on a progressively downward trend in terms of creative ideas since about halfway through ST:Voyager.

Did you even read the article? TurboLinux licenced the CODECS, not the player itself. The player is going to be an in-house developed product appropriately called "Turbo Media Player."

I'll vouch for this. Before my current job, I had eight jobs over three years, my reasons varied with the first and third jobs I was fired from (my fault, poor work ethic), my second job I resigned from, and the other four were layoffs. Not all of the jobs were IT, but it really doesn't make a difference when your entire resume spans a period of 9 months. I ultimately ended up lying on my resume about my job lengths in order to get a job as a PC technician for a large electronics retailer. That's really bad BTW. I've managed to stick out this job for almost a year now and am on the verge of getting a promotion because of it. If your resume can show job stability for an extended period of time, then a certification will help you IF you have experience to boot, but a degree will definately help you out the most, even if it's an associates. If you don't have employment stability, you need to either 'generate' it, or stick with your current job and make it the old fashioned way.

When I was last unemployed a little less then a year ago, I took full advantage of Monster and Dice. The key to these sites is using them properly. As much as one would like to believe, these sites generally can't find you a job. However, and this is the important part, you can find a job on these sites. The key is using them like a glorified(sp?) classified ad. Most offers on these sites do not want you to use the "submit your resume now" feature on the site, but forward your resume to a seperate (and listed) e-mail address. It's also important to make sure you read the description, and avoid vague job descriptions, just as you would do with any other job offer from any other source. Using these rules, I pulled a 3:1 ratio of Resumes submitted vs. Interviews granted. I never won any of the job offers I submitted, mainly because I was applying for jobs that I was underqualified for, and attempted to use the 'I know I can do this job, trust me' interviewing technique. I ended up settling for a job that was easier and paid less then I desired, for the sole purpose of building the experience needed to get the jobs I missed out on before. I am currently retooling my resume, and next week will begin using Monster and Dice to look for a new job, and I have full faith that I will find what I want using these sites.

You know what, I'm not going to get into an argument with you over this. It wasn't supposed to be correct, it was supposed to be a paraphrased quote. Now if you can't handle that, too bad, because I'm not replying to this thread anymore.
