While you may have issues, there is no denying that Intel has come out making claims left and right to introduce technology that AMD or competition could not follow to the punishment of the consumers such as you and I.
If you want to be a bum and have your head stuck up your bum, just look at Intel's attempts to say that 64-bits are not needed when they supposedly have those chips ready.
We all know that Intel puts all their equipment through a strong Quality Assurance check. They run tests on computer equipment that others in manufacturing envy.
Do we really accept that these motherboards had a bug? Or was Intel trying to paper launch the motherboards using hardware that was still being worked upon?
Mistakes like these do not happen due to QA or engineering. They happen due to the upper levels of the company pressing a product and tossing a coin in the air that it may work properly long enough to buy them time to get the engineering down.
Intel needs to restructure their company. Their products and arrogance of the past few years has led them to market the entire computer industry out of some really good products.
AMD does not have the capacity to supply the World the chips and does not have the cash to buy fabs off of Intel. With Intel tripping and unable to keep up with AMD, all innovation in the CPU industry is put on hold until the market demands updates in speeds.

One point the comments keep stepping over is the fact the Earth was measured from the surface. That is OUTSIDE of the planet.
Gravity and walking around to only end up in the same spot as you started, well, you can not do that unless you are on the surface which relates back to the point of there being "nothing" beyond the Universe.
It was done externally since he was on the surface of the Earth... Had he been inside the Earth, such as the 4 miles down, he would not have been able to measure the curve of the Earth nor have the external sky to use as references.

Why do we continue to classify the shape of the Universe? Realistically, if we can not define the shape by placing it within a totally viewable package, it because useless to define it by something that we are unable to classify. Funnel? We see the outside of the funnel so that we can define the shape, but from the interior, it is just a curved or flat plane that we can only recognize by viewing from an all emcompassing view external.
Since we have no proof of anything beyond the Universe, this is just a chasing of a simple definition. Without the Universe in a 3D viewable environment and being just IT, then we can't define the shape meaningfully.
Think of it like this, we could say the work was flat, but it was not till we were able to look at it from an external view. Think being about 4 miles deep in the Earth and attempting to define the shape of the Earth.

The jobs of the minds are not gone. They are not leaving. We are able to further educate ourselves to a level that we can not be matched by other countries. For example, we go to school for 14 years as a majority. After that, we often go 4-6 years in a secondary education. We are 22-24 years old at completion of a higher education. The countries doing the labor jobs are not able to place their workers into an educational system that lasts 1/3rd of their life span and maintain productivity levels that are satsifying enough to fund the previous education levels.

They are stuck on a slow process. This is just part of breaking down borders. Stop thinking the US vs. India and start thinking Thomas Perry vs. Ty Hai (Coworker of mine) and then you realize that you are presonally responsible for maintain more abilities and a larger working knowledge than your competition.
If you can not win the better jobs, don't you think it is about time you went back to school and studied as hard as your competition? There are no easy routes and it is not going to be that way for a long time.
Ty and I are going to lunch now.
