Assuming you're using Mac OS X or 64-bit Linux. It's just Windows that doesn't have a 64-bit Firefox for some dumb, poorly explained reason.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner.
My job requires specialized software that only runs on windows. And truthfully, the 32 bit version of Firefox works fine. But as you put it, it's dumb and poorly explained.
This is a fantastic idea. One that fits with what Mozilla does already. The perfect expansion of their work: 64 bit Firefox.
Yeah, I know it's radical. And maybe they will struggle at first. But who knows, maybe they will succeed where so many other browser vendors have failed.
Communications with your lawyer are privileged. Give them your information with instructions on when and how to release it. Make sure to pay them in advance.
This is standard stuff in may novels because it kind of works.
Is it 100% effective? Maybe not. But it's a layer of protection. If you are especially paranoid, give one lawyer a 1-time pad encrypted hardcopy file. Give another the key.
Fair enough. Maybe he should have said secret trials. FISC is basically a warrant rubber stamp factory.
I'm genuinely curious about he extent of secret trials in the US. My understanding is that there are restrictions when it comes to public trials for minors. Probably other situations. Where the boundaries are, I'm not sure.
I didn't write the program, actually a script, but I did modify it to run on a Kindle. The epaper version with a keyboard. Needed some sort of calculations done while traveling without a laptop. Some sort of one line script, but the simplest solution was to take an existing sample script and modify hard coded numbers.
Yes, modifying a script with a web based editor on an epaper device is a bit awkward. But it got the job done.
Because the SEC's job isn't to stop stupid. Its job is to stop fraud. Distinguishing the two can be tricky. Selling unregistered securities is one area that has been designated at fraudulent. Selling over overpriced or excessively risky investments has not been designated fraud as long as the buyer isn't knowingly fed false information.
It's not the planning, it's the expense. When upgrading to new hardware means dropping $20k for new software licenses (for one PC), and the expense comes out of your own pocket, you "plan" to use the system for as long as possible.
Yeah, unless you've got thousands of dollars of software that are locked to that PC configuration (hardware and software). Then you're looking at a major expense and hassle of upgrading everything just to do exactly what you were before.
"Amtrak's passenger services are sparse compared with Europe's. But America's freight railways are one of the unsung transport successes of the past 30 years. They are universally recognised in the industry as the best in the world."
Not quite true. I've made a few parts with a Makerbot. Mostly custom idler gears to see if it could work. Nothing exciting, but they work perfectly.
The trick was post processing. Instead of an X shaped axle hole, I made a round hole. Then used a drill bit to clean it out to a fairly precise diameter.
But haven't been motivated to do much more than that. The same process would work perfect for making joined gears, but again I haven't been too motivated.
I've got a DOS machine behind me that we use frequently. Need it to run special software that runs ISA boards. Couldn't be easier to maintain. My only fear is the motherboard dying and having to find a PC with ISA bus.
Failure is an orphan.
Dude! I know! And have used it! Uhm... have you ever heard of sarcasm?

and there was a 64 bit version of Adobe flash, but I don't think it's been updated in years.
You hear that whooshing sound? Coming from somewhere over your head? Don't bother looking up. I'm well aware of waterfox and 64 bit nightlies.

Is that the Mason-Dixon Line?

That bug was solved in Slashdot Beta.
Yeah, we have that problem too. But those systems are air gapped. We even have a system running Win 3.11. But it works just fine.
It's not the planning, it's the expense. When upgrading to new hardware means dropping $20k for new software licenses (for one PC), and the expense comes out of your own pocket, you "plan" to use the system for as long as possible.
Decade to plan. Yeah. Whatever.

Those people can be rejected by pointing out the links are now newsworthy and relevant because they were the first to request take-downs.
Hey, easy there. They must be good. They were developed by a Dr.
Pardon me while I put on my Doc Martens to go get a Dr. Pepper.

We vote on whether to have a no confidence vote. It's votes all the way down.
Or we could just have it automatically invoked in odd years.
It might come as a surprise to you, but the vast majority of technology is not electronic. Medicine, for example.
Unless you visit your local shaman for healthcare, there is probably quite a bit of technology involved.

Wow! You must really hate your spouse.
