The thing forces you to run as root. You have to go in and CHANGE it from root. They lie all day long and say you can set up individual users in SETUP, but there is no option. This is the most Linsipid thing I've ever seen. COMPLETELY insecure. Go to GRC.com and do the firewall test. Fails like there's no tomorrow. All the obvious Windows networking ports are open. Close them off, CNR dies. If you want their "free" software (all GPL, btw) you must open yourself up to security issues. No WONDER they sell anti-virus software - the OS is full of holes.

The problem is, there are still people out there like Lindows/Linspire/Linlawsuit that keep putting out trash because it's much quicker to put out an inferior product than it is to design it well, as well as cheaper. Linspire now gives away the OS for FREE - so you're stuck paying for CNR. Unfortunately it's not illegal to put out crap such as this. It's a crime against good design, but nowhere is that illegal.

Because reinsurance works in a different manner. It takes a while for the reinsurance claims to go around, and in the meantime you've got time to recoup your losses.
We can fix these when the voters revolt. It will probably take public lynchings to accomplish this, as in the US we've given over most control of the decisionmaking to greedy bureaucrats. Bankers and politicians control such things, and as such, control the judicial process as well.
That's why on Slashdot certain comments get modded up or down. Opinion DOES count, but you have to make sure you're speaking the same opinions as those around you. That's one reason I LIKE Slashdot - it helps deal with some of the opinions that are rooted in society - and speaks out against them.
