I agree with you. I was raised Catholic, and actually, most Catholics agree with evolution and most scientific findings about our origins, such as the big bang, because of the way they interpret the Bible. They believe that the creation story is a metaphore, and that seven days to God could be different than our notion of seven days, and that he may have created us by evolution, as that is just the way that he worked.
I hope I explained this so that you guys could understand.
Now, why does DARPA want in on these new technologies? So they can make robots that will eventually replace human soldiors, and they will get the technology by stealing it from us. Nice.
A good example of open-source spreading beyond software is the Linux Professional Institute. They take suggestions on what should be on their certification exams, questions, and they make available the detailed process of the examination.
IMHO, I don't think Nintendo has any business making another system, they are already having a bad time as it is, to waste more time and money on a system that will just make them lose money.
