Maybe.... Wind? You'd think that NASA would know that mars does have an atmosphere, and therefore can produce some kind of wind, which could be blowing sand and dirt off of the panels.

Except there is no Fair Use clause in Aussie copyright law. So they can't do this legally in Austrialia, hence why the submitter said this.

I was refering to atmospheric nuclear flight. Basically it uses a small nuclear reactor to power the engines, If you check out the latest Popular mechanics they have an article about lockheed delevoping something along the lines of this. The U.S. and russia both started projects that inserted reactors into large bombers, but both never flew due to unfounded worries over the crew recieveing harmful amounts of radiation. The worries are unfounded because Nuclear submarine crews with a mantained reactor recieve little to no radiation besides normal cosmic radiation.

I really hope the aeronautical industry takes advantage of the testing done with the X-43A. Alot of ideas that were scrapped b/c of red tape and underfunding I.E. nuclear powered flight, true supersonic transportation, Pulse Detonation Engines (although the last one is seeing a revival) If applied correctly this could revolutionize the airline industry and make international travel quick and affordable over time.

make it using triple pane glass, only coat the middle pane. Hook that pane up to high-voltage electrodes, jack it up so the glass is heated to 84 degrees no matter what the outside tempeture is. Of course, the outside tempeture might "leak over" to the middle pane, but it's a thought.

There are alot of bitter people in this world, as you can probably tell from the majority of the comments here (and NO ONE quote me on that one, it's a generalization and it's meant to be taken with a grain of salt). If you can't really make up your mind on what you want to do, you might be happiest by getting a business degree and keeping all these other things as a hobby. I'm gonna sound really cheesy when I say this, but you do sound alot like me (hell, i'm even the same age group as you). I have found however in my few years (compared to most /.ers) that people individually are really nice, concerning, individuals. However, when lumped into large masses, everyone tends to get washed up in the momentum of the moment and go along in groups, even the goths have there own clic.

  8. Legal babble on USENIX Responds to SCO; Fyodor Pulls NMap · · Score: 2, Insightful

I've read the majority of the public SCO documents, and i have to say, they're either really desperate, they've got yes-men for lawyers, or the head of their legal department is a 11-year old who's trying to imitate his lawyer daddy. In every single document SCO claims that the GNU GPL violates U.S. copyright law, and also the DMCA. BUT THEY NEVER SAY HOW!!! I don't know if they live under a rock, but every legal commentator i've seen on the net says they have absolutly no case! They would be laughed out of court! I'm starting to think that MS is paying them to go on with the case in order to boost their Anti-open source propoganda that they're firing at the common man. SCO's and MS's stuff almost sounds like it came straight from a computer-literate Senator McCarthy!
