The high school I went to has recently done this same thing, except with MySpace; and they went even farther than just judging the students' photos: if the students had anything on their page at all that the school deemed "innappropriate" (including the song on their profile) they were punished in school.
I really find this to be disgusting. What kids do outside of the school should have no standing on what they are allowed to do in school. My blood is hot just thinking about it.
What's the best way to learn to play a game online? To lose! Eventually, you get your ass kicked enough, you begin to learn how to reverse the process. So if you're playing against people who have become "leeter" through this AI training, eventually those people are going to breed the next level of gamers after that. And the cycle will go on, as it already is; except having a portion of gamers who were taught by a computer, rather than by people, would be... interesting... to say the least.

It's all about a person's personal beliefs, I suppose. Some people prefer to play with other people online to challenge the skills they believe they have or just because it's more interesting than fighting AI. Some people prefer single player because they don't have to put up with other people that rant and rave about things no one cares about or think it's cool to type with caps lock on.
I go both ways, some games I prefer to play online because that's all the fun (Diablo 2, Jedi Oucast/Academy), other games I'm very content with just the single player, though most games focus more on the multiplayer than the single player. They forget that not everyone has broadband internet or even has the internet at all.
KotOR was amazing, but it really does need the sequel. I want to know what happens after you crush the republic, how do they recover from the sith? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! I just hope they don't fuck it up.

HL2 would win, nerds (Gordon Freeman) always win when they're in a game/movie about fighting big hulking men.
