Actually it does. Microsoft says so and I just tried it. In my case, a messed up text prompt appeared and it sucked up CPU when I clicked 'OK'. When I clicked 'Cancel' however, calc popped up and IE closed.
95%++ of the world's computers running Windows NT-based Operating Systems by now
Actually, 95% of the world's computers are embedded microproccessors, most of which don't even run anything classified as an "operating system", let alone windows. I expect that what you meant was that 95% of PC's are running Windows NT based operating systems. I doubt that, there are still plenty of older, pre-XP home machines in use today, so probably as many as 15-20% of PC's are running Windows 9x-based operating systems. You could have just said 95% of the world's PC's are running Win32-based operating systems, and you probably would have been correct.
Well, I still find that in some windows apps, when you double click a shortcut in the open dialog, the app attempts to open the.lnk file, instead of following it, so hopefully that sort of behavior should be fixed.
They dropped firewire due to the lack of a single-chip implementation and the lack of space in the new ipods. As for mac-formatting, having a single ipod model is simpler for the consumer. Although, with the new video ipods, how long will it be until the fat32 4gb file-size-limit becomes an issue?
I much prefer my mono nokia over any other phone... It takes at least a week for the battery meter to go down by one bar (that's when I tend to recharge). Signal reception is great, sound quality is fine, just as good as landline phones. Also, having an "old" simple phone means that the chances of it being stolen are virtually nil.
Lets see... Global population increasing, third world countries industrializing... Are you saying we should all have chinese-style population control and deny third world countries the chance to develop?
And you realise that by design, most Mac apps dont close if you close their windows, you have to click on [App Name] (next to the apple) and go to 'Quit [App Name]'?
I have found that the Finder can be a bit flaky when dealing with SMB/CIFS shares though, seems like a feature that was added in a hurry, like the fact that selecting to save the password in keychain works (you can see it in the keychain viewer), but the password is not retrieved next time.
Man that website sucks... Some elements dont render properly in Firefox (look at the login box on the home page) and you have to become a member just to view the screenshots...
No, not all applications get the XP theme, depending on how your app is implemented, you may need either a.manifest file, or better, a manifest resource in your exe.
You do realise 64-bit proccessing is not just for addressing more memory? The x86_64 architecture gives you twice the amount of CPU registers, each of which is twice the width. Therefore 4x as much data can be held in the CPU at any one time and 2x as much can be proccessed per cycle. If you are dealing with large data structures (strings, long ints, high-precision floats - data structures commonly used in games and multimedia), you can greatly increase the speed of your code by having it 64-bit.
Well it says you can install it on linux. It doesnt limit which version you can install under linux. Wine is not an operating system, just a set of apis and a binary loader, so the win32 version would still be running on linux and therefore allowed.
We created a game for it called the Zen Meditation game. The object was to sit in lotus-position on the Joyboard and move as little as possible for as long as possible.
Sounds great, where can I get a copy of this fun-fest?

Except they would probably make these new cameras also function as radar cameras...

"That said, if I can playback iPod video content on a regular TV -- just like I can show photos stored on an iPod on a TV -- I might consider it."
You can, all it takes is the $20 extra AV cable...

Except this is buid 5231, a whole 12 builds newer than the PDC build.
The reload button probably turns into the stop button while the page is loading, as in Beta 1.

So who's Apple then? And when are they going to buy Apple and base their new OS on their technology?

But what happens when some PHB realises he could cut costs by combining the buses?

Actually they do run on fish. Very dead fish.

Dont forget DSL routers... Mine runs "VxWorks5.4.2".
My DSL router runs VxWorks:
Connected to 10.0.0.2.
220 VxWorks (VxWorks5.4.2) FTP server ready
User (10.0.0.2:(none)):
So it must be reasonably common... Anyone know of any other devices that run it?
I know if I found an executable on an MP3 player I'd assume it was a copy of the driver software or the like and probably run it.

That would be "21/7" (UK date).

Apache is a form of government?
1) PASSV "passive" mode fixes that.
2) Modern FTP servers support resume, not sure how.
3) Valid point.
