    Same goes here in Norway afaik..
    But here we can also make the officer identify himself, if someone feels something is done wrong.

    "Skole" is not "cheers" in norwegian..
    "Skål" is the right way to spell it, but I guess you will pronounce it skole anyways ;)

    To me its the aswer to almost everything, but my dad still asks me to help him find drivers for his NIC and printer :\

    I still remember my first 486 based machine. It had everything!
    Soundcard, 256K videocard.
    I was the king of the block.
    Those where good times :)

    So.. We will have a bunch of people running DRM'd Windows Longhorn, and a bunch of people running Linux/Non-DRM' Windows.
    And they cant talk to eachother?
    The suckers cant talk to the people with skills?

    if you cant beat em, copy them, alter the products and then stadardize on the software that almost works on their systems

    Novell running a SuSe derivative AND owning java?
    Now that would be a hard hit for microsoft.

    I would have picked up another 2gb of ram, and mounted them as a ram-disk.
    Just put the db on the ramdisk, and update/backup it to a RAID mirrored disk whenever the load is low.
    That should make it a nice and fast server without having to spend too much :)
