Nobody is truly arguing that breaking copyright is ok. What people have a problem with at this point are two things.
1) The level of damages should not exceed 10 times the value of the product/song
2) The charges should not be able to be brought until it can be proved that the person being sued actually commited the crime
The Faith I had in the justice system has been lost. All the judges do now is allow a private organization to dictate morality AND damages. How is that justice? Damages should be between 3-10 times to be punitive. How is the original level of damages fair at all?
Yeah, uh, no. There are a lot of people with very valuable skills that don't include "computers." Reality doesn't work like this in most places.
I doubt it. In the end, lack of basic computer knowledge leads to many many people getting fired even if they are otherwise good at their job. People are expected to be able to read email and open attachments and launch applications. If you can't do that, you are toast.
Oh, Windows 7 will run on the latest hardware unless Microsoft does something lame like the DirectX 10 / Windows XP debacle. There was no technical reason XP could not run DirectX 10. Microsoft just prevented it because it forced people to upgrade to their otherwise crappy OS (Vista).
Amazon and Apple had glaring problems in their security specifically when people get involved in the process. It was the social engineering in this case which caused the problem.
That's still lame. Scripps added no value to the equation. They should have just linked or embedded the official video once it was done uploading. Instead they are trying to monetize off something they don't even own.
I'm fairly certain those protestors at US Bank were moved because they were blocking the entrance. In fact I've seen the video of them blocking the entrance and even going inside and being nuisances. Nice try though. Better luck next time.
I walk my Dogs four times a day because I have no yard. They will still bark at other dogs (they are not people aggressive). So I spent the time/money to cover all the windows so they cannot see out. They rarely bark now.
You kind of miss the point. When you take physical property, you deprive the current owner of the use. This is why you can be sued even if you are not stealing but simply depriving use of my property. The stupid taco stand on my front yard analogy works well here. The taco stand prevents me from using my front yard.
Copying music or any other Intellectual Property does not deprive anybody of its use.
Physical property is not the same as Intellectual property. Sorry Bubs but we are going to see right through your false analogies now matter how many times you repeat them.
Your argument is not firmly grounded in reality. You are never going to control the medium after the initial performance. Sorry but it will not happen. I'm a photographer. No matter how I display my work, it is possible for it to be transferred from one medium to another with minimal effort. Because I understand this reality, anything I publish on my website is released with "Creative Commons -Attribution -non-commercial" licensing. Does that mean I give away my photography for free? No. I sell it in its complete form at high res or on prints. But if I posted it in an article and you take it then fine. If you want a print of it or commercial rights then pay for it. Simple as that.
That's not really funny. People kill Dogs all the time because they are left outside but barking. It is really a problem with the owner. They should be providing shelter for the Dog at night.
Source? I know they use Pesticides btw but I'm asking for a source showing that they are worse then traditional ones made from synthetically produced chemicals.
Laws? Who said anything about laws. I CHOOSE to eat organic because I CAN afford it. What I'm saying is that for those people who can afford the premium, they are getting a value added. The OP stated otherwise.
We attacked Iraq because Saddam lied to us. Why do people keep forgetting that. If he had told the truth and not kicked the inspectors out multiple times then a wrath would not have come down on his head.
How do you intend to do that besides strip searching every passenger and then making them wear pajamas for the rest of the flight and not have any carry on baggage? You do realize that you can make a weapon out of ANY solid object and even the best scanners can't tell if your notebook is normal or you files the edge down on the inside of the battery compartment into a makeshift axe.
How many pilots have gone off the rails during the last 100 years of commercial flight? How many airplanes have been hijacked? You do the math. I still would rather Pilots were armed. You put your life in the hands of a pilot every time you fly. Why only kind of sort of trust them?

Sure, but I have a job and don't live in my parent's basement. You don't even exist. Hmm, who is going to win this one?
This is why RAID 1 is not the same as BACKUP.
Two things:
1) I have an Xbox 360 and play it almost everyday
2) I hate the new UI and know people who cancelled Xbox live and Netflix because of it
You mean Microsoft Surface from your phone right?
Nobody is forcing you to upgrade. Moreover many many people kept XP or went out and bought it on purpose after Vista came out.
People upgrade home comps for two main reasons:
1) Their primary computer hardware fails
2) They have a new application which needs the new OS to run
Note that in point 2, people will not be "upgrading" to Linux. Sorry to burst your bubble.

You do realize that Android phones have remote wipe as well right?

You are forgetting one thing. Youtube has an order of magnitude more servers and bandwidth then NASA.

Who is being harmed? She wasn't going to buy the music. She is not a customer. Just ignore her and market to your actual customers.

BTW this is similar to what Trey Ratcliff does. http://www.stuckincustoms.com/licensing/
