Those studies will probably not be completed in either of our lifetimes. The problem is the pesticide residue may be low enough to avoid acute symptoms with immediate results. However studying how a lifelong exposure to a whole slew of chemicals is going to affect overall health or lifespan is going to take many generations. I like to error on the safe side. If it is not a nutrient, then it doesn't go in my body.
It's confirmation bias. Geeks are not exactly known for their healthy livestyle, and we like hearing versions that confirm others to be wrong.
Exactly. I run into the same thing when I tell people that secondhand smoke can cause cardiovascular problems and they don't want to hear it because they've been exposed to secondhand smoke their entire lives.
The truth is even if Organic food just had less pesticide residue and less antibiotic resistant bacteria, then I would still tend to eat it over non-organic.
I'm going with the turd sandwich who hasn't had a chance to mess things up yet.
So you want to give him the opportunity to mess up as well? Tell me more about how that's a good thing...
Oh man, I gotta turn this into one of those willy wonka memes. Quite frankly I don't care for either candidate but it is the people who will make up their cabinet and the people they will put on the Supreme Court that I do care about.
Polls are usually wrong by enough to matter in a close election. This is a close election and the margin of error is too great for the polls to predict anything except that we get to choose between a douche bag and a turd sandwich. That being said, I'm going with the turd sandwich who hasn't had a chance to mess things up yet.
Actually, speed is rarely a factor in the cause of an accident. Most studies put it at below 15%. In fact Florida said it was 2.2%. http://www.motorists.org/speed-limits/faq
So really the insurance companies are just managing how many accidents are going to cause damage that's over the deductible.
The OP is NOT a troll. There ARE actual problems with AGW as a theory or at least to the extent it has an effect. True scientists not only WELCOME debate but they ENCOURAGE it. Science is not about being right or wrong. Science is about discovery and understanding the world. Most often theories need to be expounded upon and details need more exploring to fully understand something as complex as the weather systems of the entire Earth. Furthermore many people actully fully grasp that climate change is happening and that over the average it is tending towards warming. The disagreement is on how much people affect that AND on what does that mean next. It is when policy is rammed through under the guize of BIG GOVERNMENT that people take a step back and first ask science if it has actually proven that the policy is needed. Many many models of climate change have been absurdely wrong but we don't talk about those? Why? Because they make people look silly? That's a little childish in itself. We should look at the failed climate models and see WHY they were wrong. THIS should be what is in the public eye.
First off the widely reported story is that the NGI will use public surveillance video and photos. The part about including DNA records from private practices is unsubstantiated. Now I for one do not have a problem with them using public surveillance or Driver's License ID's. If you go out in Public, you consent to being watched by the same public and by extension, the Government. It is completely acceptable and good for them to use this legally obtained data in an automated recongnition system. Yes there needs to be checks and balances but the problem doesn lie in the source of the images.
I know its 2012 and all but not everything is multi-threaded for quad core optimization. The faster clockrate may in fact yield better results in some cases.
Why would I give up one walled garden to go to another? With Android you have choice. With iWhatever you have the current Generation and the old Generation. I want choice.
Now look what you started! Technically you were wrong but the truth is so muddy that 10-15 people below you got it wrong too. Mac OSX "borrowed" from a lot of places. I think the point of your argument though is valid in that there are so many similarities to Linux and Mac OSX that the two do sort of sit under the same umbrella. Let's put it another way. If I wanted to find someone knowledgeable to work on Macs but could not find any, I would hire someone who could work on Linux because so much of the knowledge transfers directly over.
Stealing the song is one offense. Using it to make a profit from in a commercial empire when you don't own it is a different offense entirely. Nice Straw-Man though.

I predict that our next president will be an asshole. And the one after that, too. And the one after that.
This is probably the only true statement in this entire thread.
Ever heard of the fourth amendement? Obviously not.

Your idea of a politician does not reflect reality. Its nice in theory though... kinda of like something else I know.

Amazon Prime costs money. Real Kindles by themselves don't get you anything.
Right except buying a ticket to fly somewhere and showing up to your flight on time is what qualifies you as a suspected terrorist.
Actually what Fox does is take actual news and put a correct headline on it but I can see where you might get confused.

The Kindle app is in the Google Play marketplace. I don't know what this has to do with anything.
Yes, they just sued Apple. Big news.
Don't forget about that shoulder thing that goes up that allows it to lock onto passing jumbo jets and take them out of the sky at will.
So you are saying that Fastsupport.com is not secure. I think Citrix might want to know about that if its true.

Step 1) See science I don't agree with
Step 2) Find no logical arguments to shoot it down
Step 3) resort to ridicule and call it a day

Where are we going with this?
I couldn't have said it better myself. Bill Nye is complaining about a problem that doesn't exist.
