Australian governments can't use Office 365. The data centre in Singapore and the Patriot act make it impossible. There are moves to remove some restrictions but I'm not holding my breath.
Nice goalpost move. I didn't say you have to sync with a computer. I said that if you do sync with a computer, you need the service. Your excuse, it's still crap but you don't really need it.
Frivolous lawsuits are also legal. I can't think of anyone with enough lawyers who'd want to build it. It would be a hobbyist that caved at the first C&D letter.
Same here but ATH.exe goes rogue every so often. Kill the process and I can't sync an iDevice until next reboot. I can't be bothered looking into it. I don't need to sync that much.
What notification email? Devices started having sync errors and I got a weird password prompt on the desktop. I assumed they'd nuked my account and went to the website. There's a link "If you received a password reset notification..." but you have to go to the blog for an explanation.
It's a five to ten minute job for someone qualified. The limit is a guillotine to get rid of the people who will repeatedly insist that 'I'm almost done'.
We have to watch our for burglars with MSDN subscriptions?
Wait until you have a corrupt printer driver. "Word keeps crashing!" It's easier to PDF the thing and move on.

Wireless sync talks to the same service. You still need it to sync with a computer.
Hang it on the mirror. Flash fried.
But they are selling the current version. You just need to upgrade from version 5.1 to 6.2. That's being sold and supported.
Cool, now apply the same to Apple iOS 4-, OSX 10.5-. Ubuntu 8-, RHEL 3?
Yep, they'll just grab the XP source from Github and patch any issues.
Yeah, but Microsoft used to be similar until they got repeatedly slammed by security issues. Once they got serious, things changed but it took time.
So, if you don't like the usual version, you create a new one and expect people to follow. Too meta for me.
Even when the vet takes them away, he'll still lick them.

The source was Daniel Ellsburg. It's common knowledge. You may also want to look at Mike Gravel, Senator and presidential candidate.
The Australian government provided a list. Thanks, Steve.
Or for the people who insist on short links: is.uk

Because they dish out awards to people who don't offend CBS.
They had a problem converting to Volts.

Hah, the incompetent ones usually look better. They've had more practice.
It sounds like less of a speed comparison than an upper limit to stop people wasting both sides' time.
