    Yeah, that is how I read it. The presence of large buffers causes the 'controlling protocols' to go haywire, thus network transfer efficiency hurtles out of the window.

    Heh, here in the UK the iPhone was an option from my carrier. I passed on the iphone because of how underwhelming my experience had been with an ipod.
    Now, a couple of years later, I have a droid. It is the best handset evar.

    Heh, and here is some more anecdotal evidence.
    1. Van parked in loading bay for ten minutes while the load was being delivered and the return load was being dragged to the van ( ie the van was unmanned for ten minutes ). Result - Vehicle's registered owner hit by hundred and something quid fine.
    2. Taxi reverses into my car and stoves in the passenger side doors, then drives away. Result - Cops say the registered owner cannot find out who was driving at the time so they (the cops) can't do anything.

    You think that is bad? I heard the other day that many people don't grow their own food! OMG, they totes buy food prepared in huge factories operated by minimum-wage scum! It wouldn't take much effort to infiltrate the production line and put Allah knows what into the food. Will nobody think of the children???!!!!!

    Actually, terrorists would be well advised to bomb the MPAA, RIAA and similar. It would help their public profile and fund-raising. Maybe even their goals.

    As STDs have a rate of infection, people engaged in prostitution are more likely to have STDs because they have sex more often than people who are not engaged in prostitution. In my case, about a million per cent more often (assuming ten clients per day).

    The whole point is, those protofascists, today, who are stocking up on guns will ( in the unlikely event that words fail to stop them ) need to be opposed by other guns. The protofascists are a minority ( else they could just vote themselves into power ) so EVERYONE needs the means to meet force with force. By all means vote and argue against the fascists, but be prepared for the knock at the door.
