Why is it impossible to think that someone is actually legit?
A quick once over of my software and music collection.. a bunch of mp3s ripped from CDs that I own, the songs I've grabbed off the iTMS, A licensed copy of W2k, OpenOffice.org for 'productivity suite', I'm a mmog gamer, and its kinda hard to pirate subscription based software.. so.. um.. why is it impossible for someone to not be trying to cheat the system?
It does make you feel better, though, to think that everyone else does it, so its fine, though.
"I look at it simply like this: You are either for DRM technology, or you are against it. I am against it. It's really as simple as that."

Because we all know that being told what we can do with things we purchase, even though we agree to these things at the time of purchase (You're not going to go 90 in a 25 zone with your new car, are you, sir?) is a Bad Thing.
I missed Episode 1 of this microseries, and went to cartoonnetwork.com to watch it.. and there were 20 episodes listed, with 1-10 and 11-20 in seperate section "Coming in 2004".

Little to no piracy?
Betcha the RIAA isn't *interested* in them, then. Brilliant way to prove the parents point, though.
"Once we make this script developers can integrate it into filesharing clients, and we'll always know what we should and shouldn't pay for."
Heres a concept.. how about paying for what you listen to? Or is the concept beyond these people?

Interesting, potentally innovative/cool/fun ideas that had great potental, have died horrible, horrible deaths at the hands of us, the consumer.
For example, The cancellation of the D'ni Reconstruction Effort, and the cancellation of EA's Majestic.
We, the consumers, hath spoke, and we sayeth that risk is not worth the reward. Because we're in general, dumbasses.

So.. milking? Maybe. But planned from the start.
