I have never seen a mandatory ID card in the US. What are you talking about?

All the hotels I have stayed in the past ten years have had actual coffee makers and "normal" ground coffee to use in them. Granted the coffee is already inside a inclusive filter, but it's certainly better than instant. Are there places so cheap that they still have instant in your room?

The reason the Soviets get so little credit from Brits and Yanks is that they were orginally an ALLY of the Nazis! They happily carved up Poland and swallowed the Baltic states and then drug Eastern Europe into their control. They only fought their Nazi allies AFTER the Germans double crossed them. Hardly an ally the Brits or US wants to brag about.

A possible reason could be that writing a secular book that looks at the Koran or Islam critically can invite lots of trouble (ie death threats) from fanatical Islamic fundamentalists. There is no way I would publish such a piece myself -- who wants a fatwa calling for your head to be cut off? This would be akin to questioning church authority during the Spanish inquisition.

  9. Re:Not working on Extremely Critical IE6/SP2 Exploit Found · · Score: 1

I went to the test page (I have XP SP2, all patches installed, up to date Norton AV, spybot, I have IE6 set on HIGH security, and a I am NAT'ed and firewalled) and the exploit worked totally as described. Maybe if the user turns EVERYTHING off in IE you might be safe, but the above precautions are more than 999,999 out of a million users take and I was still vulnerable. This is one of the worst holes in internet history. 93% of the internet users in the world can be affected by it ... this is HUGE. Active X needs to be scrapped and IE's useless hooks into the Windows kernel need to be removed. A defect this bad would get GM, Ford or Maytag sued for billions.

I wrote a really lame Harry Potter fanfiction, but it had good illustrations and thousands of people have downloaded it from my hard drive. There is NO way I could have ever gotten that many people to look at it without P2P. Shareaza seems to have been the best software for having people find my story. At least 50 pictures and copies of the story are taken from my HDD each day, while nobody visits my poorly designed web page. Hooray for P2P for us sorry amateur writers!!! http//:hpbook6.freewebpage.org

They have been talking about doing this in Florida for over six years. As soon as the idea hits someone with a braincell (Granted that often takes a while.) it dies each time.
