It seems to me that the tradeoffs Minix makes lends itself to better hardening and security, let alone simplicity and maintainability in the code base. I am excited to see what the Minix community produces now that they have some dedicated developers and are using NetBSD pkgsrc for userland.

Not much point in arguing with a bunch of nerds with the "i'm smarter than everyone else in the world but I can't socialize with any girls because I think I might wet myself so I hate the rest of the world" attitude.
Though I will give you that it is a lot of fun.
move out... You can live off campus for much the same price as living on campus plus you don't have to deal with all the B.S. like this or getting kicked out on holidays etc.
Only reason I lived there for 3 years is because of the ease of short lease as I was leaving the country each summer. I really wish I would have just got a long term lease and sublet it to a friend over the summers as I would have saved money and I also would not have given that money to the evil university housing.

But, how is this an insensitive programmers fault. They just do what they are told by the people that employ them. Sounds like the MS needs someone to do more research on their customers and get that to their programmers. I call bullshit on this article. Stop blaming the underlings and fix the problems. Hire someone cultural experts of some sort to edit their crap. I don't think it is the programmers requirement to be an expert in the worlds culture when they really need to be expert programmers and make working software.
Who would have thought that the a couple of extreme leftist would do such a thing? I hope someone from the democratic party will come out and say that they do not condone this. This whole election year has really made me sick. Both sides have taken tons of cheap shots and has only served to divide the country more. I don't think there is anyway way to undivide the country and anyone that says they can have quite the lofty goal because I think it will be impossible. Look at Bush.. after 9/11 his approval rating was huge and we had a very united country. Now that election has come around the left decided that they needed to divide the country with as much propaganda and lies as possible. I'm sorry I have many friends serving in Iraq and it is really sad how much the media portrays as what we are doing there as evil. One of my friends was given a doll by a small Iraqi girl as a thank you for what he was doing. It was all she had and he tried to give it back be she refused. I don't care if we do not find WMD's. Sadaam had plenty of time to destroy/hide them. We know he had them in the past and that he would use them. He needed to go (as well as many other dictators in this world too that i'm ashamed we havn't dealt with yet). This moderate is voting right this year. I'm not going to betray people that we said we would free. (don't pull the well Bush betrayed the US B.S. I've heard it a thousand times and I've seen Mr. Moore's 'movie' "which made me even more upset with the left")
