x64 isn't generic. Microsoft is trying to coin a new term from two different terms, and it doesn't work that way. x86 is an ARCHITECTURE. x64 isn't an architecture. It's a load of BS for Microsoft not only to require signed drivers, but to also coin a term that broadens the gap between the technologically inclined and the general public.
It's just another step in taking away our personal freedoms.
Trying to commandeer our poor computers... geez. Damn those Zombie machines out there. Longhorn's only going to make it worse, but atleast Microsoft is making it slightly more obvious.
Yes, that's right folks, your computers are no longer yours!
Let's remember that the Shuttles undergo heavy maintenance and system check before, after, and during flight. If you did that much work on a Honda, there wouldn't be a problem.
Then again, look at the Millenium Falcon.
I don't need Google/Amazon search bars. I need a frickin' browser than can render HTML, XHTML, XML, Flash, and the rest.
I run Firebird in both Windows and Linux and couldn't be happier with it. It's not a bulky program like Mozilla, and it functions nearly the same. I love the lightness.

OS X is Unix. x86 Linux doesn't get worms... OS X should be fine unless the virii are specially brewed for OS X. =P

Stop pirating Windows... it isn't worth it. Go Linux! As for music and movies... well, no preference here. Go for it.
