    Also, the Free Software Foundation is located in Massachusetts. Shouldn't it get some reflection?

    I don't know where you live, but I live in Georgia. In my opinion, we have probably the most incompetent state government in the entire USA, although perhaps there are 1 or 2 that I don't know about that could give us a run for the money.

    You don't cross the Savannah River much, do you?

    One's mileage may vary on that. I've had "instant" configuration of a printer, that is, connect the USB-to-parallel-printer cable to a printer and have a queued print job print before I had to do anything. That was with SuSE.

    No, that's what the software companies themselves say. Ever read a Microsoft EULA? It has an explicit disclaimer of warranty.
