I don't know where you live, but I live in Georgia. In my opinion, we have probably the most incompetent state government in the entire USA, although perhaps there are 1 or 2 that I don't know about that could give us a run for the money.
But what of human loyalties? Part of this thread was started by someone saying that nerds should have solidarity with other nerds instead of our particular nations. So why should we care about the UN?
One's mileage may vary on that. I've had "instant" configuration of a printer, that is, connect the USB-to-parallel-printer cable to a printer and have a queued print job print before I had to do anything. That was with SuSE.
Too many good grades in classes of what size? In a class with 20 students, there may be more (or fewer) good students than would be accounted for by a normal distribution?
