Wrong douche bag, If you are given illegal orders, and carry them out, you can't take the Eichmann defense of "I was only following orders." And as a commanding officer in Vietnam if you make a habit of shooting your subordinates when they refuse illegal orders, then you get fragged(aka killed by those same subordinates). And Kerry was an Officer not a grunt.

If you can't joke about death what can you joke about. Yes, it is unfortunate that someone died, but as pointed out earlier in this thread people die all the time, some in really shitty ways. Moral of the story: life ends. Now I didn't bother to RFTA(big surprise, this is /.) but unless there is some really bizarre circumstance this really isn't news, people die all the time in auto accidents.

Let me get this straight you think the Germans were the victims of Allied aggression? Somehow I don't think Poland politely asked Hitler over for some tea and said, "While your here please feel free to divy up our country with Stalin." Or those innocent Japanese who were merely helping the Hawaiians put in a new coral reef by sinking American battleships in Pearl Harbor. You are correct that Dresden had virtually no purpose as a military target, but we had to let the Brits get their vengenace on. Don't forget the Army Air Corp bombed during the day to reduce civillian deaths.

Also since it is not impossible for bad guys to obtain body armor(google:north hollywood robbery 1997), as a citizen desiring to protect my property I should be able to obtain armor piercing rounds. As for the flash fry an animal before it hits the ground, assuming it is a large mammal whose body is mostly water(Specific Heat=4.18 Kj/Kg)the energy required to do this would be quite high so good luck with that one. Btw any sportsman worth his salt already has the 100 round drum(pre-ban).

How about the crazy idea that, your job is to educate not police. The more schools start to become prisons the more students will behave like prisoners(and try to escape). Or think of it this way. That is one less student you have to waste resources educating b/c they don't want to be educated.
