Personnaly I'm sick and tired of all the distro's: Ubuntu, Fedora andeven Mint/Cinnamon.
They ALL spell REGRESSION.R E G R E S S S I O N.regression.Niosserrger... ...backwards, sideways, upside down, mirrored, whatever.
And there isn't a mouse or tablet or gesture or kick in the groin thatwill do them any good or correct this wanton purposeful dimwittery.

You're forgetting command line development and editingtime. If I need to do something like:
head -n 120 FILE | grep foo
and on first run it doesn't turn out what I was expecting, Imay well edit the previous command line changing it into:
cat FILE | grep foo
Plenty of seeming redundancy there too, but not when youtake the actual editing into acount as well.
I for one am in high anticipation of the 1000 paper cuts.
