You are, which is plainly obvious from your rants. You have some crack pot idea that the DOE is attacking corporation. Wow. Stop drinking the bong water Zippy.
Or mention of Verizon rigging on their deal with the state of New Jersey after collecting Billions of dollars from Jersey tax payers.
FYI competition mean competition within an industry not between industries. So for example AT&T and Verizon are competitors. Time Warner Cable and Direct TV would not be considered competitors to AT&T and Verizon.
" If you do "save energy" at one point, it's because you've used more to get to that point in the first place, or used up some even rarer mineral in order to do so."
Care to prove that Zippy. So recycling is no good. Car pooling is not good. Turning down the heat-a/c not good? There are lots of things people can do to lower their energy consumption that would not as you say use more energy elsewhere. The point is most people are not aware and don't bother. Make the pocket book argument. Turning down your thermostat will save you money. Don't leave the lights on all the time or the tv on and then walk away. There's a lot of low hanging fruit out there. During the '70s people understood that. Today, not so much.
I think the point was to be careful about the water you use and to not waste it. Not about guilt. But yes, golf courses are the biggest offenders and water conservation should start with them at the top of the list.
Actually no he did not. The scientific community is firm about climate change. The debate only exists in tiny little minds that can't grasp science. The "discussion" you see is refinements in the models.
Coming from a Russian propagandist that's rich.

"For one thing you've got all the "green jobs" "green economy" crap"
With comments like that, no, no you are not telling it how it is or how things can change but rather pushing an agenda. Moron.
Somebody failed high school. Look up energy consumption and energy policy then get back to us.

Wow a Putin apologist...who knew...
Putin's hands were caught in the cookie jar and the russian terrorists are showing their true colors for their total disrespect for the dead.

Hardly - you can't hand wave away a couple hundred dead people....and it's Italy that's stone walling.
Thank You!
Tell that to the MPAA.
Wow, I weep for the educational system.
