    That is the likely scenario. As the workforce ages and decisions where made to outsource more IT functions, eventually you end up with pool of people who do not understand the technology you are using and can't maintain it. This is not unusual. This happens in large corporations.

    And writing an accounting program in another language, would take exponentially more lines of code....there's a reason why the financial services industry still uses COBOL...it works. There has not been a language to date that can handle business needs.

    If you bothered to research COBOL and not talk out of you ass, you would know this.

    LMOL transmission line losses - hate to break it to you bu that's a fact of the electrical grid which supplies electricity to your house and businesses. So if you have an issue with transmission loss you might want to take it up with you local utility and press congress to upgrade the grid.

    LMOL no Calculus is not fundamental to understanding Statistics. Take a Statisitcs course some time. Algebra would be useful. If there is a fundamental math course to take it would be Algebra not Calculus.

    Easy there Potsy. What is the rationale for taking Calculus? If it's exposure to mathematics, then any course would do. Algebra or a course in statistics.
